Indianapolis, IN: We do play games, I promise

Great matches Riot last night. I have to watch out for your Tap set ups with Seth. I think I did decent with my
Gouken but I missed some set ups.

Nice! How are the matches going at Box Arena? Play any big names out there?

I don’t have much worth looking at right now but somebody recorded me vs Seth at CBB3.

LZO- Good matches as always. I’m still learning Seth so some of my setups are off but you nullified many of the ones I put out.

LOL that Seth player said I was bad in another vid. .

haha wow

Mario, shouts. Bring Indy and Kyle next time.

Indy and Kyle - come to ranbats next time.

I’ll try and make it when I can but right now it doesn’t look like I can do much traveling. I"m in my final year and this semester has me at a loss for time. I manage to squeeze a bit of time in for training mode every now and then though so I’m still keeping my execution up. After this semester I’m on easy street so if you don’t see me much until the end of the year you can rest assured that after my usual winter vacation to England, I’ll be doing a lot more traveling.

Oh, and Mario, do bring your HnK setup or at least game whenever you come to ranbats. We have to make it happen more often.

Thanks

The discussion threads for the BBCS location tests are amazing (as all location test discussion usually is). Someone posts a tiny translated list of unconfirmed changes and everyone flips out like it’s the apocalypse.

If anyone wants to play this weekend I am willing to host or travel.

Now you know you’ve “arrived” when you’ve got haters. Good stuff Mario!

Thanks, it’s pretty funny stuff. I still got a long way to go. Have you been playing much MvC online?

So the SSF4 arcade revisions are posted and now I think I’ll be switching over to BBCS. They nerfed characters that didn’t need it, like taking away Seth’s j.fp, weakened Blanka, Honda, etc.

Is that the final build or is it just a location test?

People are reporting some bizarre changes for the first BBCS II location test, but that’s pretty common and Arc System Works usually runs 3 or 4 public location tests before ironing out the final build.

I don’t tend to trust location test reports very much, most people just report nerfs because they are easy to spot when you are just playing as usual and suddenly something doesn’t work as well as it used to (or at all). Noticing buffs is harder because you have to try using something in a way that you normally wouldn’t. After the last location test for BBCS all the Litchi players were panicking, but after the game came out she ended up being the strongest character.

Although with something like SF4 I imagine it’s a bit easier to find things since it’s a simpler game than most.

I want to play MvC2 online, but I need to get a Box still. I’ll just save 5 bux every time I get a chance, and I’ll have it in time for MvC3 at least.

I want to play some Hokuto no Ken with you guys. I need to buy a copy of that and get on it. That game looks like some insanely good, broken fun.

Flexo is beasting in TvC, so next time you guys drive out to Champagne, let me know. My Doronjo is ready for action.

Rei and Toki are gdlk. I want to play Kenshiro though…

Rei is really good, you have to do a lot of instant air dashing with him. Kenshiro is alright. I’m going to try learning Juda. You might like him, he can call in assists similar to MvC. I’ve got the game, so whenever you want to play just let me know. Kyle and Indy play it too.

Quan- That’s high level HNK for sure, lol. The Souther was awesome.

If the reports are true (I’m really hoping they’re not) than Super Street Fighter 4 will be like a new game in a way. I’m getting sick of all these changes. I thought that SSS4 was just fine. The only character that I thought needed an update was Vega. He’s just way to weak.

Also, Yun sounds to be very powerful. If people learn how to abuse his super art like they did in 3rd strike than the tourney scence may change in a big way.

Some of them I think are unchanging like Seth’s j.fp. I don’t know why they would take that out considering he needs it for zoning. They already nerfed him from Vanilla. Seth players may just abandon the character it seems over in the Seth thread. They made blanka balls more easily punishable. Nerfing mid tiers but keeping top tiers unchanged like Chun doesn’t make any sense. It changes the dynamics of the game too much too quickly. Atleast they made Dudley better…

I didn’t understand the Seth nerf even though I hate it but LIKe what there saying about Gouken and Makoto.

a im from indy lookin to get into some mvc2 or some ssf4 the name is Esa hit me up if ur lookin for some action 317-891-9208
