come anytime between 8-9pm and we usually stay until 2-3am or sometimes a little later. there is a $1 door charge for everybody but in exchange he gives you free drinks, sometimes free food, and free entry into a mystery tournament that offers prizes for the top 3 finishers/teams. also he has several interchangeable arcade games that sometimes don’t have the greatest controls but they are all on free play and all very fun. we will also have 2 console setups going at all times. we usually have a large variety but for this one time we’ll probably be sticking to 95% SSF4 given the circumstances. oh yes and most importantly this is a smoke free house (didn’t used to be but times have changed). the majority of us are there for fun and games, not to get 2nd hand drugged up and/or killed by the lung cancer from cigarettes so thanks in advance
this will be a great chance to get in some real good practice before the qualifier this Sunday
Brent- I will probably have to miss the drive to Ft.Wayne since I’ll be driving to Muncie on Sunday. If someone offers up to drive tomorrow then I’ll be there.
Anyone who pre-registers during the March 1st - May 24th time frame will be the ONLY PEOPLE entered into the QCF Gaming complete arcade stick raffle. LuckyDay is going to be providing us with a really great looking case, and has also agreed to wire it all up (details on PS3 or 360, or a dual mod, will come later) so you don’t have to finish the stick yourself. The buttons will be Sanwa and the stick will be a Sanwa JLF. Pictures will be coming soon! The raffle for the QCF Gaming arcade stick is scheduled for Sunday, May 30th.
that’s pretty sweet Osi… PU is getting primetime already… i gotta pre reg now cuz i’ve seen luck days work and it’s definitely in my taste…
but for who it may concern i’m definitely going to PU wether or not i make the state team, i’ve already booked the rooms and so far it’s me and my brother going, we’re trying to get our teammate from chicago to come and compete… and we may have space for 1 person for the ride and room… and since it’s taking place like right after my birthday we’re thinking about partying one of the nights…
oh man, lol… I played like crap against tatsu… but then again…he is like the best vega in the US… and then again, I dont know the match up that well either… but my partner was like a last minute thing, would have probably placed higher in the tourney if I had a better partner… as it was, I did most of the work between me and my partner, and OCV’d a team with my honda, lol.
Mario - even though I would rather play as Cody for the state team I asked some of the other FW crew on the team and they have suggested Vega. I guess I can bust out Cody in singles if I feel the need. Anyway no surprise in the end, sign me up as Vega. Sorry for the delay but I truly was super close to requesting Cody.
I think it’s early next week, probably Monday. If anyone talks to Ghetto Dave let him know I’m tryin to play him online. Is Ft.Wayne staying all 3 days? I’m going down on Friday night and will be leaving Saturday.
Personally, I think you could go either way and do well. On one hand, people don’t know how to play against good Vegas but the character is still weak. On the other, Cody seems to be very solid with few bad matchups but he’s still in the beginning stages of his strengths being fully utilized. I feel like I’m able to beat certain characters much easier with Dudley but I know the matchups better with Blanka.
Mario - We are just going Saturday and Sunday. I don’t think there are even any tourney games on Friday anymore, I think they moved them all to the other days.
