Zamza is on the money. That rotation works well, though does anyone up here really play ST? I’ve seen more hype for Inuyasha than I have ST.

I more meant have a ranbat for a specific game on that day. On Mondays people are there from 5:30 or so till 10-10:30 depending on kick-out time. It would only take about 1.5hrs to get thru a ranbat. I am not suggesting that the only games that could be played on Mon/Fri would be the ranbat specific games, just that a ranbat for 2 specific games would occur on Mon/Fri. As people bring setups, games will be played as people like.
This suggestion was trying to foster an opportunity for more people mix on Mon/Fri, which I think would be a good way to expand the scene.

I agree a rotating schedule, in some form, would be good. The hard part is deciding on what people consider to be “popular” games, or instead of the term popular, what games people Want to play.
On Monday nights for the past 2 months, SF4 & MVC3 have been played less and less, and now hardly get played (granted we only have about 10 people there on Mondays at best). People on Mondays for the past few weeks generally want to or are willing to play GG and 3S (ST, Arcana Heart, Melty, InuYasha, and some others do get played randomly).
Honestly I don’t understand why we are running ranbats for anything besides Inuyasha.

I shamelessly plugged in ST, it’s my game of choice. We played it a few weeks ago awhile back, but haven’t recently.
That said, Brent is exactly right. People aren’t going to pick it up and play it if nobody else. Somebody has to fight for it, and I’m gonna be that person for Naptown. It’s a fantastic game that doesn’t get enough attention.
I won’t have my setup today, but I’ll work on having one at Arsenal from now on. If anyone is interested in learning the game, let me know. I’m not the best but I’ll show you what I know.
I think we should just start with SF4, MvC3 and MK9, those are the big 3 mainstream games right now. If any of the other games start to overshadow the big 3, we’ll swap them out on a monthly basis.
I think 3s might be bigger than MK9 now, but that’s just my observation. I’d love to get some more MK in. Waiting on UMvC3, I’m going to hit that game hard.

Sorry guys but I won’t be able to make it tonight.Got an Audit test to study for. I’ll try and work on some May tech in the interim though. As I told Kyle last week, I’ve always secretly hated Ky but found that he had a low barrier to entry and went with him despite how boring he ultimately is.
I’d thought the same thing, but Greg was telling me how MK9 received more votes to be last weekend’s T3 third game over 3rd Strike. Not to mention that I just learnt today that there might be a decent sized MK Indy community in the TestYourMight.com forums that I did not know about and would have loved to known about MK happenings in T3 on Saturday. Which, by the way, if anyone’s curious:

Time will tell, I suppose. So hard to gauge this stuff, sometimes.
There might be more people, but unfortunately if they aren’t going to show up then there’s not much use holding an event for them. I’d like to see MK9 represented, it plays differently from the other top games and seems to draw in a different crowd.
It all depends on the body count though. If 3rd Strike gets more people, we should give it the nod.
Very true. If we decide on something definite, I’ll be sure to pass it along to those TYM.com folks and see if we get any new blood for Arsenal or not.
I’m not gonna be able to make it tonight. One of my exams got scheduled during another class that I was planning to finish a project in. If I don’t go to SB this weekend I’ll try to make it this Friday.

We might not be meeting this Friday, it might be the week where a group has paid to reserve the whole basement space. If it is then we will be scheduled for Wednesday instead. I will talk to Bill tonight and get it figured out, I forgot the exact date but i thought it was the 14th which is this Friday

Zamza - good stuff, although i’m still curious where some other folks are, even if it’s for HDR instead of ST. Silver Rain? NAP? a few others that showed at that one Naptown Clutch tourney when we had both ST and HDR but i can’t remember their names. there should be like 5 folks pushing for this, not just Zamza.
I don’t really play much ST but all you guys have to do is say the word and I’ll bring my ST setup. Guaranteed.

This is the week that Friday was supposed to be reserved, but the group that wanted to reserve it has not payed yet or got back with Arsenal about it. Bill is supposed to call me when he finds out, hopefully tomorrow, so we are still tentatively scheduled for Friday.
