So, I have a quick question: My current favorite game is blazblue, is there really anyone over there in Indy who plays it?
I’ll play me some SSF4, and guilty gear, but I’m just not competitive at them, the only games I feel like I would stand anything resembling a chance in is MvC3, and BBCS2. BB:CT was basically the fighting game that made me want get good at them (more so than just stomping on my roommates), study frame data, learn matchups and legit combos, etc.
I love guilty gear as well, but I’m just not that great at it. lol/sigh.
anyways, so there’s a hangout / meetup every week at this arsenal place, right? i see that it’s an arcade, is it cool to bring our own setups? I’ve got a softmodded ps2, with a whole stack of various games like GGAC, soul caliber 2, melty blood:AA, hokuto no ken, and pretty much anything anyone wants, given a day or two’s notice.
There are a few of us that play BlazBlue. The biggest players right now that I know of are myself and Moy, although there are a bunch of new people lately and I haven’t seen everyone in action or even met them all in person so who knows. Also, Arsenal game room is not an arcade, it’s more of a hosting center for tabletop games and card games that also has a cafe. We rent their lower level for free and in return we buy food from their cafe, so our setups are limited to whatever we bring with us. Everyone should definitely at least bring their own controllers though, obviously
I play all the games like Guilty Gear, Arcana Heart, Melty Blood, BlazBlue, Hokuto no Ken, etc so if anyone is ever looking for someone to play them with you can always at least play them with me. For a long time it was pretty much just me so it would be great if we can get some more people to play that style of game. especially Guilty Gear

Yeah, so you’re aware, last year the only Naptown player that came to Gencon that I remember was Silver, I didn’t even see the rest of you till T3 and NTC, so HOPEFULLY the rest of you can make it out.

Alright, done moving and back from Pennsylvania, so I’ll be heading up to the Arsenal gathering on Monday.
I’m not quite in Indy, but I mostly play BlazBlue. I lean more toward MvC3 at the gatherings, since none of my friends in Bloomington play it. I’ve been spending most of my time lately trying to figure out AH3, though, so some BlazBlue tomorrow would be a nice distraction.
Sorry Gregg, I’m not gonna be able to make it tonight, we’ve got some stuff going on for Father’s Day. Maybe next time.
I’m pretty pumped for tomorrow though. Last time was pretty hype, and tons of new people have joined, so hopefully our gathering tomorrow only gets bigger. For the newer guys that don’t know, we meet at Arsenal Game Room (http://arsenalgameroom.com/) on Mondays. We’re usually there from about 5 - 11 pm. If you come, bring your own stick and optionally bring a setup. We’ll likely need all we can get. Come hungry, we don’t pay a room fee for playing there as long as we all buy enough food from the cafe, and they do have a pretty good menu. I talked to Bill last week, he said that from now on he should have some help in the kitchen when we come, since he knows to expect a lot of us. Hopefully we won’t be waiting a few hours after we place an order from now on, lol. I should be there pretty close to 5, so hopefully I’ll see a lot of you there.
And again, if anybody wants to play ST tomorrow, I am definitely down. If you’re looking to learn the game, I’ll teach you what I know. If you’re playing AE and you want to improve your footsies game, then playing ST is like training in 100x gravity, lol.
