And most older cabs needs plenty of TLC

Well that is assuming the cab is metal and not wood.
If the cab Wood and seen better days you need to get some wood filler, possibly some lumber and brush up on carpentry skills.

And that is not addressing anything with the actual electronics inside or what horrors are left within.
