I assume you’re talking about causing an explosion–which, despite the Hollywood idea of the physics of gunfire, is highly unlikely. You’d put a hole in the gas pump, which is bad because it would spill gas, and that would make the risk of fire from a wayward heat source much higher due to the increase in fumes. But the bullet itself would not do it.

Flash fact: for the same reason, shooting the gas tank of a car would also not cause an explosion.

huh I always thought with the speed, heat and air pressure of the bullet (depending on range of shot) would cause like a small ignition with the pump that would ignite the gasoline. I just based my theory off of the 4 stroke engines when they cylinders in the engine go thorough the process of intake, compression, explosion.

the most outrageous thing is that he pulled up next to a full tinted suv at night blasting im sure was some loud ass trap music and asked them to turn it down. what rational person would ever even bother. if anything you get your gas and go quick, or you say eh, this seems shady with these knuckle heads blasting their music, probably drunk ready to go party, i will go to the next gas station.

If it’s night, and I see some of the usual flashy “rap video showcase” cars with loud music (of course with shiny rims… of course), there’s no way in the world I’m stopping at that gas station for any reason. This is yet another scenario where the male ego (“I should be able to go anywhere and tell anyone off!”) gets people into trouble and ends in disaster. If “black” people in general learned to fucking speak english as opposed to ebonics, there wouldn’t be this undefinable middle ground. However due to probably the way those guys were speaking, they could of possibly used some slang word that made the white guy feel uncomfortable and thought his life was in jeopardy. That’s the way the law works.

stand your ground in FL is a good law. I used to work @ corner store in the ghetto and for the few years I worked there, I probably had 10 or so instances where someone walked into the store and either through verbal dialogue or hand gestures described a gun. I was even threatened once as someone “pretends” to go for a gun and we beat his fucking ass so bad because we, we as in other asians that worked with me, thought he had one.

now to have my life threatened so many times and not being able to shoot first is fucking a nightmare to deal with. It felt like any time I went to go help friends of the family, I was putting my life in danger.
