Some of the special intros are dependant on what the characters’ ism choices are. (as was mentioned above) So if you tried to see some of them and couldn’t get them to work, you probably didn’t have the right Ism combinations.

I remember in SFA1 or SFA2, Sodom twirled his sais around in his win pose, and accidentally let go of them. This happens somewhat frequently in SFA3, but before that game, it must have been a rare occurance, because that was the only time I’ve seen that happen.
I remember when I first did it. It freaked me out. (Why is Ryu walking? What is he doing. HE’S PICKING KEN UP?!?)
I can’t clearly remember what the circumstances must be in order to get this, but I vaguely remember that at least a 1/2 screen must seperate Ryu from Ken, and the finish must be a fireball/super fireball. After watching it happen, it threw me back to Ken’s A2 ending… (Ken to Eliza: if I don’t train harder, next time he’ll be helping ME up!)
Most other win poses can be obtained by holding a button. (Birdie “flipping the birdie” comes to mind…)
Ryu vs. Ken - this outro can go either way. If ken beats ryu, then ken helps ryu get up or if ryu beats ken, then ryu helps ken get up. doesnt matter who wins, they both do the samething
Karin vs. Karin - both karins butler are shown firsrt getting ready to kick each others ass, but then the other karins throw some sort of object at their butlers and jump into the battle.
there was another karin intro, cant remember if it was a regular intro or a special one cause you see a chopper come down and karin jumps off of it just like dudley and his jaguar.
I’ve heard about the Dan/Blanka and Mika/Zangief ones, but I’ve never, ever, ever, EVER seen them in 7 years (and I saw even the “rare” Sodom and Birdie winposes in Alpha 2 bunches of times…I played that game 'til I dropped).
Were those special intros cut out of the PSX version?

most of this is actually detailed in Kao Megura’s Alpha 3 FAQ on gamefaqs.com. you guys should check it out. the Ryu/Ken thing works both ways in Survival Mode iirc.
Some of the win poses can ONLY be done by holding a punch or kick. Some of the win poses that won’t appear unless getting a perfect will work this way as well (Rose comes to mind). Also, Rose has an outro in which she disappears behind joker card instead of changing into the dress. This can only be done after beating one of the survival modes/dramatic battle I think.
The rare Sodom pose in Alpha 2 is when he spins his jitte around like one of his normal winposes but then they spin out from his hands as he shakes his head in embarassment. It’s much less rare in Alpha 3
The rare Birdie pose is Alpha 3 is when he pokes his hair in hair like one of his normal winposes, but then his hair falls down and he grunts and sticks his tongue out.
