Some decent Deadpool gameplay at the Box Arena Long Beach tourney. The biggest critique on myself vs. Y2J was at 1:00:20 and 1:03:13, where his Magneto would sit there and I reacted with L teleport to get out of the corner. If I had done M teleport, I could have easily crossed him up and did a 100% via DHC glitch combo.
So remember, in corner situations, don’t be afraid to use the M teleport to generate offense.
There was some HYPE Deadpool play at Seasons Beatings day one. Justin Wong was involved so I’m pretty sure video of this should find it’s way online.

Would be great to get some feedback, both on my play and the video in general. I posted this up in the Cap board to get some feedback on him too. I think Deadpool is a real sleeper and with the buffs he got in Ultimate I can see him being used a lot more… Thanks!
Main thing is don’t drop the combos.
Also, if you get an air combo with Deadpool going towards the corner, then do the katanarama to have them go over your head out back out of the corner, you should do H, L quickwork, cutting time. It’s the highest damage and gives you a full damage DHC into cap or akuma. Or, after katana you can launch out of the corner, HS, then HHT while high in the air. You can also reset buy landing with L guns then go for a left right mixup with teleport plus you assist.
Against noloader’s Wesker on point u should recognize that his assists cannot touch you from long range so in that situation just stay at the other end of the screen and play lame as possible haha, then switch sides and move to the other end when he moves forward with wesker. Try to recognize when he wants to call Akuma. Sniff him out and then punish or start your own offense on Wesker.
There was some pretty sexy Deadpool action in the last WNF. Here’s the archive. Matches at 0:30:45 and 0:46:05 in part 2. Sadly due to some techincal problem the first game of the first match wasn’t streamed.
The combo he was using with Akuma tatsu assist was godlike and his keepaway game was really solid. Hope to see him again :tup:
