Dogface, Justin, and Mike already said it on the stream, but this was the most hype MM of all time :amazed:

Dude won lots of cash. I could do so much with 15k

Score: Neo 15 - 12 Clock. Good shit neo. Keep getting that money. CHING CHING!

I thought I had seen everything in marvel…WOW.

woah all dem loud mouth niggas didnt want none of Neothrax. Shit was so fuckin hype, almost lost my voice as well as a little money. but of course neo pulled through and i made a nice little chunk of change.

Thanks for the Money Clock, your such a nice guy.

just wanna say thanks to everyone who showed up and thanks to both competitors. this was a sick event and thanks to everyone who made it possible including the HYPE CROWD obviously. only sad thing is that mvc2 now is done and being replaced by mvc3. it was an awesome time and so many memories. nice to see many familiar faces and keep the scene alive people! hope it was as fun a ride for you as it has been for me.

Thats Right, awesome way to end Mvc2. Good job Lil Bro. NEEEEOOOOOO!!!

This match was sick from beginning to end and the crowd made it even better RIP MVC2.

posted this in the other thread

Neo,

Congratulations. You got me, real good haha. Tried my best and still couldn’t beat you. I think there’s something to be said about someone who has the whole ballroom against them and still manages to come through. You earned it, so congratulations. Gratz to anyone who won money too, you made a good decision to bet on this guy. Have fun with the money.

With all that said, I feel the whole thing has been pretty unfair to Neo. Dude played with just as much if not more heart than I did, WON, and still it seems he’s barely being recognized for it.

Well don’t sweat it dude. You worked hard for it and got it. Nothing more, nothing less. GGs and see you in MvC3.

Apologies for the late post.

Clockw***0***rk

I can’t say enough good things about our match bro, but again, we **BOTH **won. :china:

:china::china::china::china::china::china::china::china::china::china::china::china::china::china::china::china::china:

Oh btw, I talked about the coolest thing that happened in this epic battle between Cl0ckw0rk and I in the Dogface Show. Long Story short, Clock is as GDLkE in the game as he is in real life:

Welcome to Facebook <—pretty cool note =)

See you in MVC3 clock, as well as everybody else!

Thank you clockw0rk and Neo for one hell of a show!

perfect send off to MvC2, It would be pretty cool if you guy happen to cross paths again in MvC3!

takes a real marvel player to lose and be okay with it.

Fixed.

Well, as MVC2 has come to a hybernating mode (this game will never die), I’d like to share with you guys a piece I wrote about this awesome event. It is a great story that not only involves Clock and myself, but every single person in the community who at one point pressed start, witnessed or played what we have come to recognize as the crack, “mahvel,” and quite simply the standard of fighting games. If you got 10 minutes to kill, it is a pretty cool read:

Sunday, January 16, 2011 was an amazing day. It was simply incredible, something I will never forget and it?s because of all of you who took part of it, one way or another, why this was so special. Daniel Maniago and I fought our hearts out. Little did we know (or at least little did I know), that the greatest victory would come not from ?what side won?, but from the emotions that we were able to transpire not only to each-other (no homo lol), nor just the people who were there to witness it, but to the world.

I will share something that I really only wanted to keep to myself and the very few that I told, but it?s something so cool that I feel I have to write about it. Throughout our match, chants of ?Cl0ckw0rk,? and ?Neo? (as well as ?Freeeoo? lol) accompanied Daniel?s and my battle towards each other. There were times where I couldn?t hear anything but the rabid, at times animalistic responses that we would generate, and I?m not going to lie, I was literally shaking. It felt as if two armies collided and were doing absolutely everything in their power to overcome the other, Daniel?s army being much larger of course. Yet, in the midst of all this rabid, cut-throat environment at the time, something incredible happened when Daniel and I found ourselves at 10-10.

We both instinctively stopped, took our time, then looked at each-other. Barely being able to hear him, I leaned in to listen to him saying: ?these are great games bro.? Attempting to respond, I found myself unable to because I literally couldn?t speak. So I nodded nervously. He then said to me: ?I am thirsty though. Very thirsty. I think I?m going to ask for water. Would you also like some water?? When he said this, something struck me. As if my adrenaline levels were not already skyrocketing, I felt an emotion I had never experienced before. Here we are, fighting with everything we have against each-other, trying to do absolutely everything we can to beat the other, and yet found ourselves in a place in time where we could share what we were creating in the middle of a bloodbath. It would seem as if this was insanity, violating all sense of rationale; as if two opposing generals were sharing a drink in the middle of war. But it wasn?t insanity nor was it irrational. It was amazing. It was incredible. When the next vs. screen hit, my eyes watered with an emotion I could not deny.

As we neared the end, I was honored to do the same when I got up and my side offered me a glass of water. I noticed that he did not have one, so I extended the glass to him and he accepted it. I could not believe what was happening. I felt a knot in my throat seeing what Daniel, those in attendance and everyone involved as well as myself had created: a moment that I don?t think will ever leave us. This was the true victory of this amazing event. This was what really mattered. We saw people jump, we saw people completely blow their lungs. We saw dramatic responses, and we even saw people cry.

This experience was as crazy as it was breath-taking. I?d like to thank so many people for having taken part of this. My boys back home, my friends who have supported me, my friends who gave me advice and never held back to make me better, everyone who I have met in this great community who has had a positive influence on me and everybody who took part in making this historic event in one way or another (even if you were chanting “Freeeoo” lol). To my friends and loved ones in general, even those don?t know I do this and may be asking what I am talking about in this post lol. Most importantly, I?d like to thank my mother and the Big Boss Upstairs.

What did I win? I won something more important than what lots of people may interpret. Something that in the end matters more than the ?result? of the match. What is it that I gained that actually matters? Not the prize and not a streak. Instead I won something bigger/greater. I won a friendship with Daniel Maniago, and we BOTH earned a victory that many people told us they themselves cannot fully put into words.

I could not have asked God for a better sendoff to what has given so many of us so many wonderful memories, friendships and moments we?ll never forget. Sunday night was one of these moments and I am both Blessed and very grateful to have been a part of it.

If there was one word to describe it, it would be ?beautiful.?

The other day Cl0ck told me, “did you know if you google “The Greatest Money Match of All Time” our match comes up? Siiiiiiiick” haha.

Clock…you already know. We gave a present to the world!!!
