If you want to buy a custom arcade stick

alright, stop it you guys.

You tryin to protect the fact that he no longer needs to be listed in this threaD?

you wasted 10 seconds of your life that you cant get back telling me to work on my grammar. what a fuckin geek

Look friend, if you are going to speak ill of another’s services be descriptive. Just saying they suck tells us nothing about why they suck. I believe once you realized this mistake only because I pointed it out that you fixed it and retaliated with anger because you felt incompetent.

I’m not trying to protect him what you are saying may have merit.

RellMane, that kind of attitude and language can easily get you an infraction if not banned from this site. I suggest you tone it down.

Kaytrim

I wouldnt tell him shit. Let him be banned so that hell do us all a favor.

Off topic you megaman you never responded back to my PM about the things i had for sale.

Hello again everyone!

I’m still shopping around for custom sticks and trying to get a feel for prices across the market, etc.

I was just curious as I haven’t seen any documentation about the company called “arcade in a box”

http://www.aiabstore.com/main.sc

Are these guys any good? Are companies like this worth considering for custom sticks?
Are there any other good companies that are out there?

I’m thinking I might have to go the way of a bigger website rather than an individual builder as it seems everyone on these forums has a full queue.

Thoughts, feedback or input anyone?

Edit: and also-- 4way/6way/8way/octagonal base plate?
What the hell?

Ed Farias, or the owner goes to this forum, so you can ask him yourself, just search for arcade in a box, several members bought stuff from him, so I think hes legit, but I can’t personally say. Hes a nice guy though when I talked to him.

The gates are locking mechanism that go under the joystick, they normally restrict movement somehow. The 4 way gate is for restricting movement to just cardinal directions. 6 way etc opens 2 more. 8 way is standard fighting game movement now, Octagonal refers to how its helps you hit the diagonals 8 ways. And the square gate is the default gate for fighting games.

Is there any standard or preferred type of setup? or does it depend on the type of game you’ll be playing? (I’ll be mainly using Gief on SF so is it worth going for a specific setup because of that?

^^^ wrong forum and thread for that question. Look through the forums, I remember seeing threads dedicated to various characters in one of them.

Hi, I’m fairly new to trading area of the Shoryuken forums, and I’ve been looking for a custom stick builder who’s able to make a stick with these parts:
http://img67.imageshack.us/my.php?im...tamsl01qe7.jpg

They are korean parts. The stick is a Myoungshin Fanta stick and the buttons are Crown CWB203C. I’m pretty used to these buttons because my local arcade uses these for SF4.
I’ve been looking at some threads already, but it seems people can only use Japanese parts. Any recommendations?

Coopa,

The problem is finding a source for the Korean parts. I use the Japanese parts because they are easy to get a hold of from LizardLick. If you can find a ready source then one of us might be able to help you out.

Michael

Actually, I already have someone providing me the parts I listed. I told him to send the parts to my custom stick builder once I’ve decided.
Well, obviously provided that they will actually make the stick with Korean parts for me.

I want to build my own stick but I am not a carpenter and own no woodworking tools. But looking at the work of the people who are selling cases, I am hitting a dilemma of no one doing the style of stick I want to get. I am looking for a HAPP compatible curved 8 button layout, similar to the one at the bottom of the plans here.

The plan at the moment is to hook it up with an IL competition (green) and some concave HAPP buttons (also green). maybe covering it with some plexi so I can have art I had someone do of one of my characters on it. Forgive me for being slightly intimidated at the thought of starting a full on topic.

Hey guys, I’ve recently got on this forum and I have been designing arcade controller cases. This is my thread:

I’m going to be assembling and taking in custom orders with sturdy plexiglass material. If anyone is interested in the custom cases, please forward all inquiries to my email, networkingyuppy@gmail.com

Can any builders/sellers guarantee a custom 360 stick by christmas with all sanwa parts? If it’s already made that’s fine, I just need a quality stick for 360 by then. I can send payment immediately if you have a good reputation.
