I just want a reliable port on a current gen system. The best options now are DC/PS2, but none of the scene around here even has sticks for those now. I could get people to play/practice easily if it was available for x360/ps3. We’ve tried emulators, but none of them work quite right.

I miss cvs2

PS2 was the worst port. Worst speed, pixelated graphics. DC would be the best one to port (or straight arcade), but DC CvS2 was amazing. I could as far to say it was the most accurate Arcade port to console not counting Neo Geo carts obviously.

No CvS3. CvS2 was good due to RC which was a glitch. K-Groove CBS would have dominated that game just as bad as Yun, Chun, Ken do 3S. Just my opinion probably shouldnt side track this thread though, I messaged IG.

Capcom vs Snk 2 Port please. DC/ARC are the best ports, ps2 is awful and ugly. All us CvS2 gamers just want a port with ggpo. I would pay 100 bucks that that game

I’d be happy with IG doing CVS2 port, they’ve gotten better with each of the their dual-pack releases and Capcom vs. SNK and Capcom vs. SNK2…perfect double pack.

probably not a good idea. Id take the sf4/marvel3 netcode instead. cant play cvs2 with all that rollback and teleport and shit.

fyi the OG xbox cvs2 was mostly playable. same router to router connection was godlike. I used to play this dude EC to WC with very minimum lag.

You’re crazy. Xbox cvs2 was terrible. The input delay was ridiculous at times. Teleports and rollbacks only happen in really bad connections, not to mention there have been vast improvements with the netcode when u look at marvel origins and darkstalkers resurrection.

I would love for this to happen since I have never played this game. However it seems highly unlikely considering it was just released as a ps classic on PSN witouth any form of online play.

I would like a CVSSNK 3 release,
But not from the team who had a hand in SFIV and SFXT. I’m actually interested in seeing SNK Playmore take on SVC Chaos 2 with KOFXIII styled graphics if anything. I do support a CVSSNK 2 release if it was a DC port.

1000000000% agreed. I would rather they add new characters and expand (take out RCing, possibly add a new mechanic) and call it cvs3, as opposed to getting nothing.

new mechanics probably mean lot more work and money. Id rather not have that and just be able to play cvs2/3 for what it is. sell it as full $60 game. maybe try to make it look like marvel3(ok I am just dreaming now). I just dont want cvs2 to be dead and buried. there has to be some kind of revival/remake/sequel.

btw last friday I played with min and another dude. it was nice as ever. I just wished more people showed up. also OCVed sci with k-geese once :nunchuck:

But that would imply Capcom has common sense. Now that Capcom’s gone broke they’re not going to spend money on anything they don’t think will sell. Instead they’d rather spend everything they have left dumbing down their franchises to the COD audience with bloated AAA budgets. Just wait for Ultra Street Fighter IV Turbo where Guile’s Ultra 3 involves him jumping, spinning around in a circle, and then firing an unscoped sniper rifle.

If SNK wasn’t cheap as fuck they should buy out Capcom, that way releasing CVS2 would be incredibly easy.

i wish combofiend would recommend CVS 2 (DC PORT) to capcom, since he considers cvs2 his favorite street fighter game but i know thats not gonna happen
