If They Ask Where You Went...Say Skyrim

Omg it took forever to get sniping. Looks like spells are a bit prettier.

oh… my… god… Hopefully Diablo 3 comes out next year so I dont have to split my time.

Love the new trailer. I spent many hours with Oblivion and just exploring. I didn’t even complete the main quest until I was ~60 hours in. The only bad thing is like rooster mentioned - too many games in the October / November slot!

One of my favorite things to do in oblivion was to just walk around and take screenshots of the beautiful scenery.

Looks like I’ll be doing that in this game too.

Loved the music in the trailer, that’s the morrowind theme, which they remixed in oblivion, and looks like they did another variation on it again. LOVE IT!

Trailer looks so baller. Day one purchase for sure.

guys i’m going to skyrim. 11.11.11, calendar cleared for a week after, no remorse

Make sure to bring extra pairs of underwear.

Can I come, I have a +2 Resistance to Fire Wood Shield and +15 FEAR (Fuck Everything And Run) Leather Boots.

Now that trailer was dope. Oh man that shit looks wonderful. I’ll have my new computer in April sometime (hopefully) and I’ll be playing this game on the pc for sure. November cant come soon enough. I cant wait! I read about the game in some magazine I got duped into buying at gamestop and that shit had me stoked already but this trailer just pushed me over the edge. I’m freakin’ hype for this game.

Hours and hours and hours will be spent wandering the wilds. Shit Ive never finished oblivion, fallout 3, or fallout new vegas due to just wandering around exploring. Shit I’ll have to pick up Oblivion and actually play through the story.

Damn impressive considering it was the 360 build. Can only imagine the pc version

you’ve gotta be shitting me
i SWORE that was PC

I never finished New Vegas because the game had more bugs then an exterminator could get rid off. I finally just said fuck it after my sidekick got stuck in the middle of a room for no reason.

I agree with this. I still remember that I ran into this random “orc” whom didnt have a name but the name of his sword. He talks shit saying how strong he was and if ya too low (i was) he’ll smack you silly. I was so inspired to beat that bastard I worked on leveling up. Then when I was finally ready BRING IT NIGGA!! Boi when I had that longsword I feared no one and that thing was a mint too.

Ya I noticed that as well. I really wanted to be a sneak type character but after running it for 10 hours and hearing about the level scaling I just lost interests. What makes me mad is that I wanted to go get that epic short sword but once I learned about the enemy scaling I was like why bother. Now i wasted money on getting DLCs for a game I lost interests in.

I still have mine as well. I was a Khadjit with light armor using longswords.

My oblivion char is a dark elf ( i think) but again I just lost interests and now I have 2 DLCs that I wont utilize :frowning:

I still play oblivion every now and again even though its been played to death already.
Skyrim will be my game of the year no matter what.

WAAAAAY more details about Skyrim

Dragon Shouts I kinda saw coming, after the last trailer.

Stats written in the stars could be kinda cool.

If you did a lot of running backwards in Oblivion, you probably played an archer. Bows felt good to fire in that game, but after level one they would never actually kill anyone in a single hit. So players made mods to address that, most notably Better Bows, tweaking all ranged weaponry to be more deadly without becoming entirely unbalanced.

Bethesda played those mods, and ate humble pie. Lethal archery works, and they couldn?t ignore it. So bows in Skyrim are balanced like sniper rifles ? or more appropriately, like the Huntsman for Team Fortress 2?s Sniper class. One or two shots kill, but arrows are generally in short supply. It?s a more thoughtful and satisfying combat option for tricky situations, rather than a shotspamming way of life.

Glad that Archery doesn’t suck but the fact that you can not actually be an Archer sucks.

Wow, couldn’t see the video off Gamespot due to my weak flash player.
Went to YouTube.com, see this in related videos:

AH HA, HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
BLAH HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA… neat…

i lol’d

my problem with archery, is it took forever just to get sniping (archery needs better rewards for leveling it). That and the fact you get SO MANY fucking arrows, and once you start getting constant enchanted exploding whatever arrows, you kill the fuck out of things in retarded ways.

Seriously, Oblivion was fucking awesome until you get halfway levelled up, or take a nap and level like 6 levels at once, and then suddenly u’re running through enemies and getting amazing shit on EVERY DROP and thus drops dont matter. It’s like ‘oh hey, more fucking daedric EVERYTHING’

I will forever maintain that Oblivion sucked due to the auto-leveling of enemies.

Morrowind was much better.

Hopefully since Skyrim got rid of that rubbish, it is going to be my “go-to” game whenever I get burned out on Diablo 3.

Getting burned out on Diablo 3…

giggle-snort

That would require my having a far less OCD disposed personality.

LLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOT!!!

…all the pretty, pretty loot…

As I see it.

I started with oblivion - so Im guessing that is why I took the auto leveling system for how it is. When playing an archer / mage I would just bump down the difficulty to something nice :stuck_out_tongue:
With or without it I would enjoy skyrim just as much .
