I just realized something, there is a serious lack of dancer character in fighting games.
I mean the eastern “belly” dancer style that you usually see in JRPGs (think Primrose from Octopath)
And even on the any dance style part I can only really think of Eddie/Christie in Tekken and Zarina in KoF (but capoeira is a martial art so they really aren’t dancers) plus I think Kokoro has something to do with dancing? And Menat has some aspects of it.
Does the Granblue IP have someone like this?

I was just told I can do CA by holding forward and pressing down and back at the same time twice.
I tried it and I can do it. This is a game changer.
I can stop being a top 8 scrub at my local to become a top 5 scrub with this now!

Not sure what the specifics of Kabuki are but Kyoshiro may count?

dont forget pullum purna from sfex and fexl

Kabuki is theater, it does involve dancing but as part of a play, it’s the same reason I also ignored Mian from the KoF universe as she is a chinese opera performer (this also applies to Amane from BB they are all performers, not proper dancers)
Also none of these people really use dancing to fight.

If you know how to play street fighter then you can play tekken🤗 having good footise is a good start in tekken. Just learn like 10 moves from the character you good. Steve is like Cody in tekken very heave footise character and big damage😏 you can play like a 2d fighters. You can anytime Nina play like cammy and leo

Guess that’s fair. But I did remember Duck King in Fatal Fury/KOF.

We need Duck King in more games.

Hold forward + db twice…

What the hell is up with this game’s shortcuts!?

Falke’s CA is a qcf x2 motion! It doesn’t even have a back motion!!!

x6-1

BigTochiro the gawd grazing the thread with a response. Wait a minute, this sounds familiar.

Oh,

Duck is a good example, not the style of dance I am looking for but at least he is a dancer.

Honestly the closest thing to what I want is Menat, she has a lot of dancer movements but sadly she has the goddamn orb as her main thing. I would like that kind of style but on an Archetype that is more on the idea of “a flurry of attacks”
Granblue must have something like that for sure,

Keep sipping.

On hitbox, back + forward = neutral, so when you hold forward and tap down + back, you get a clean down, and SFV only needs DFDF to do a CA

Actually pretty clever usage of the neutral SOCD cleaner

In Soulcalibur Tira uses a Hula Loop and has a circus performer vibe. Amy takes some fencing from Raphael but is also a ballet dancer.

I think that for you to enjoy MHW you 1st need to accept that is not a HnS game or an action game in the vein of DMC or Bayo.

I know some people get that impression when they see the weapons and stuff.
But the game is more similar to like a Boss Rush with looter elements.
With the difference in that the loot is mostly dependant on how you play, since while trhere is a random chance element, you maximize the probability of what you get by focusing in the parts of the monster.

And while i love the game, i think it would benefit if the combat was revamped in the vein of what Dragons Dogma did, lol.

Well! Now I know how to read your posts!

This legit sounds like a thing an npc has said to me in some jrpg.l

as broken as Honda may seem on paper he is surprisingly not so brain dead or annoying to deal with I guess, anyone feel the same way? Just a really solid character overall

I lost a bunch to Honda at the beginning because I was letting him get away with a lot of stuff. He’s one of those characters you have to lab and know your punishes or else you’re going to get stomped (no pun intended).
