Oh yeah, that too.
His St.hp is 8 frames and CCs. Good thing it doesnt have much range I guess.
He was sillier im season 2 when his vertical mixer would throw you back in the corner after you crossed him up, could eagle spike to get out of the corner and had that uninterruptiple extension with ex whirwild.
Akuma and Ibuki are in the same boat of “how were you and Ed/Ryu balanced by the same person?”. Ibuki can throw an ex kunai from downtown and you have to hold that. Its even hard to anti air. Why is that a thing?

Dude so cucked he’s going to watch the event he should be participating in but Capcom told him to btfu and have a cookie.
Has there ever been a shill of this magnitude?

The thing is having a higher health also is part of balancing characters and making them having a different potential and relevance.

Here’s the thing though. The disparity between the tools the “low HP” characters are getting are just too damn big to be compensated with like, 100HP at worst.
Look at Rashid for example. He has 50 less HP than Ryu. 50.That’s not even a fireball’s damage. That’s like, a St.MP at most.
So you got characters that are straight up upgrades to their archetype (Hi Akuma) but the trade off is that barely functional shit like Ryu gets to tank 2 extra St. MPs.
It just doesn’t work. Not to this scale.

Remember that SFV had the same producer that at time said in justification for the twins being dumb on sfIV and i quote
" The home version of Super SFIV was made with extremely good balance, explained Ono. The balance was done in such a way that there’s no one overly powerful character.
Arcade Edition, on the other hand, has some characters who were purposely made strong. The reason this was done is because Ono feels that having such a character helps to build community and competitive spirit."
You can even see how this mentality permeates into SFV, when you see buffs and nerfs that dont make sense, because besides that, they also have an intent of how a char should be played, and that doesnt account for balance at many times.

What. The. Entire. Fuck.
I don’t even know how to begin with that one. Only a Blanka fan could have such a sick and twisted mind.

Yeah, add that they add mechanics like the priority system that only exacerbates the issues of this mentality, because the weak chars are now, not only fighting against chars with better tools, but also a system that punishes them for having bad tools.
Shit is bonkers

It was funny seeing SRK briefly unite to form the “Fuck Yun/Yang” campaign going on for awhile, though. Nearly everyone that didn’t play the twins hated them with a passion.

I personally didnt hate them, since they were a non factor for me at my level of play, after super i stopped playing sf4 outside casual fun. (But i would admit that at times got bored to see them, and be the majority on the top8 of every tournament.)
Super was the peak for SFIV for me, after that my interest on playing sf4 went downhill because i felt it was becoming worse and worse with each iteration.
Specifically on how it felt when playing it, regardless of balance (i was Tager player on BBCT, so lack of balance doesnt really bother me, lol)
I still enjoyed watching high level play, and i still ran tournaments for sf4 while i still lived at my country by that time.
But the spark that kept me and my brother playing it in gatherings and have over hundreds of matches in one session was gone.

I love both characters but I get it. The way they were in AE was hilariously ridiculous. The amount of meter Yun built was just next level.
Like he built all that meter but then they took away Guile’s ability to build meter on whiff from sonic booms.
But also fuck HF guile because I gotta do some anime shit to beat him with Ryu.

Bison is the pinnacle of what obnoxious should be in this game. Maybe Ibuki too with 3 bar triggers.
Anything more than that is just not fun to deal with because of how SF5 is made.

Sooooo…If you guys ever play a guy named YoungErns2, the guy is definitely lag switching. Just play him once then block him.
About to get stunned in the corner and eat some meaties, game literally freezes and then suddenly I get piledrived among other ridiculous shit.
I’ve seen very little of el fuerte, all I know is that that character was hella jumpy. Was he op or something?
he was just intensely frustrating to fight against cause it was nothing but 50/50 blender forever

He was a bad implementation of Ramon from KOF, in both on how he functions, and how the KOF systems help with keeping the archetype balanced.
