What console would it be played on, 360 or ps3?

I saw the title and I’m tryin so hard to guess what’s inside this thread. I haven’t read your post yet so I’m going to post this and then check to see what you wrote.

The things I think have the best chances of being what you actually wrote, in ordered from least likely to most likely, are:

  • “then I’m buying a round of drinks for everyone!”

  • “I’m not going. I hate this game.”

  • “do you think most of the regular ST players will come/won’t come?”

  • “what are my chances of winning?”

  • “should Sirlin be allowed to compete?”

  • “which character should I use?”

  • “does anyone want to money match me?”

  • “will <insert old game> not be in the official lineup anymore?”

  • “is it going to be on PS3 or 360?”

edit: BINGO

ok i swear i haven’t read the post yet, just the title.

But this is going to say
"what console will we play on?"

edit: got em,

On a lighter note, its going to be on PS3, since tekken is on PS3 (no need to have more consoles for them to buy) (that’s assuming tekken is in next year, 98% it will be)

Lol, good job guys. That sux tho cause I’ve got a 360, not that I plan on competing this year, but maybe eventually

edit: I guess it shouldn’t really matter though as long as their arn’t any discrepencys in the games (bugs) and I use an arcade stick

Really, tournaments try to avoid using the 360 whenever possible.

Reason being that there are no converters for it (or maybe just one insanely expensive one?) thanks to Microsoft being anal about hardware. The vast majority of the community uses PS1/2 sticks, so this is a very important point.

it would be on ps3.

Ahh thank you! Advanced clarification very much appreciated, Wiz.

Would this be the same case for SF4?

Street Fighter 4 SUCKS If you have that shit at evo and top 8 is going down imma leave the ball room and take a nap in the hotel …LIKE THAT!

Shit needs to be there to attract new blood.

GGPO old heads.

CVS2 needs to take a nap with you.

I would like to see HD Remix at Evo this year because it’s every bit as good as the original. Unfortunately I’m stuck with the 360 version. So if I plan to comete it looks like I’m gonna need a new stick.

^I’m doing a universal setup, and grabbing a Cthulu board anyway if I decide to go, so it won’t be a problem for me.

If this game is on the roster this year, I’m very tempted about going. It will depend on my schedule.

logical choice would be the ps3. you can run T5 DR, SF4 and hd remix saving space and ps3s are damn reliable. and people can use their sticks cause there’s converters for the ps3.

Now that I think about it that would definitely be the best choice since the 360 to PS1/PS2/or PS3 converters are way too expensive. I imagine gameplay wise there won’t be much of a difference so one could still practice on the 360 if they had to. Or at least I’m hoping.

Plus theres only one and its horrible

I hope this game runs ok enough to run in a tourney, in my experience, HD remix is has tons of bugs. So far, I’ve had tons of problems with the game.

yeah thats been my big worry as well. all the offline bugs that people seem to be coming across, OFFLINE, on ps3, are really scary for a tournament. button configs resetting or not saving at all, sprites and backgrounds permanently disappearing, etc…

just sounds scary right now. i personally havent noticed anything wrong on 360 offline. but admittedly, ive only gone through arcade mode once and just dabble in training. so i guess im not qualified, atm, to make that judgement on 360 version.

I’ve got about 5 hours logged into the PS3 version of HD Remix and 3 hours into the 360 version and I haven’t encountered any of the bugs of glitches that people have reported in local play so far.

same here.
