DeeJay grew up in the hood in South Central L.A. and was a DJ making a living. He also liked to write song lyrics, and from time to time he’d try to do some demo tapes for people to try and make his big break. One day when watching BET he saw a Sean Paul video and heard one of his songs that he wrote… enraged, he confronted Sean Paul, only to get blocked by Jayhova Z, who helped steal Deejay’s songs. He hears about the WW tournament and enters it in hopes of getting the prize money and using it to buy out Jay Z and ruin him and Sean Paul for good.
Wait… did you just imply Bruce Lee wasn’t hardcore? I’ll pretend I didn’t hear that.
And anyway, Fei’s new story:
Fei Long was martial artist from an alternate universe, who ended up in this one due to the meddling with the demon gate by Hitler Bison. Fei has always searched to be the strongest and the most powerful. He has traveled from dimension to dimension, killing his alternate selves and absorbing their essences, making him nearly godlike in fighting ability and power. He has now killed his alternate self here, making him the only him in all of existence, and now a god of martial arts. Fei Long has heard of Gouki seeking to open the demon gate, and he now enters the tourney with one purpose in mind: to kill Hitler, open the gate himself, and create hell on earth, so that he can have a neverending supply of strong opponents to test his godlike powers on for all eternity.
I do agree that SF5 should take on a more serious tone of presentation, something akin to SF3 but more edgy. Above all, this darker tone should be consistent in all aspects of gameplay from the stages (gritty fights in the actual streets) to the music (I’d like to fight to a hard house beat, punching to the bass line) to a the reimagination of character appearances (not extreme though). Even the actual fighting would be more raw rather than comedic, out with the bulging eyes and in with faces of agony and despair. It’s still celshaded models, just ones that are less cartoony and more serious Japanese anime. (Also Boxer needs to swear at you till you cry during a fight)
SF4 on the other hand, had no problems with its presentation it was perfectly done to bring back players to SF. It is because of this presentation that a future SF game could take more risks in its creative and artistic choices. All I know is, that I don’t like SF becoming a parody of itself with the increase of joke characters. Humor is one thing and perpetuating stereotypical parody characters like Fuerte so blatantly is another. This is one thing that I enjoy about SNK’s story and character designs over SF, but there were moments that SF got it right (SF3).
yo this guy has been making the same game for 3 months now and hasn’t produced one single piece of original work. He keeps linking pictures to other games or youtube vids. Fucking awful.
Actually not much work got done due to us having some serious redesign issues. We scrapped a lot of shit and intend to revamp shit completely, including all the characters, and adding features not seen in any fighter. We’re even changing the name too, since I found out wtf Kakuto Chojin means in English and it sounds stupid(Kakuto means awakening city, and Chojin means superman, awakening city superman sounds fucking dumb as shit).
The game will be called Gauntlet of Fire instead. Also we changed the plot entirely, instead of that ceo mafia shit, the entire game takes place in hell, and all the characters are dead, and the boss is a demon, just like the game Thrill Kill.
