Zangief used to have a anti air grab super like Rose’s aa grab but faster did a little bit more damage and low enough to recover fast enough to do a spd if it missed.
Some “ultras” are just basically rehashed supers anyway. Just use the “ultra” version as the super (like what they did in SFxT) and we’re fine.
100% new cast or make it a dream match with every street fighter that has ever existed (yes I know the EX characters still won’t be in it due to copyrights.)
-Remove focus attacks
-Make fireballs relevant
-Every character in every SF game ever, minus El Fuerte, Abel, Viper, Rufus, and Seth
-No comeback crap
Done.
But I like C.Viper and Abel
Everything ever good in every Street Fighter that ever existed in one Everything game.
Why can’t we just do that?
Because what counts as “good” is something that we can’t agree on.
That and no one wants to play the MK Armageddon of Street Fighter. If they can get everyone in and balance it right, good, but if it becomes as bland as Armageddon, there’s no point in it.
Well what I meant was like, everything good as in, everything you like, I like, Jim likes, Obama likes, the guy next door likes, into one game.
Now that I think about it, nevermind that shit wouldn’t work.
As mentioned, people like different things. Also, different mechanics don’t always mesh well together. What could happen is something where you get to choose different sets of mechanics, sort of like Alpha 3 but with more characters. But even then, you get groove/ISM’s that are trash.

I like them too, same with Seth. They’d have to be changed up to exist in my version of SF5, however. But I definitely would NOT want any part of Rufus and El Fuerte.
Rufus isn’t that bad… C Viper either once you figure her out… Abel neither.
Seth and El Fuerte need changing though…
Characters that rely on luck and chances is just stupid.
If I were to make SFV.
-2 button, whiff-able parry
–parrying deals grey damage like focus attacks.
-stun gauge
-3-5 frame buffer for links.
-single meter divided into 4 stocks
–EX takes 1 stock
–Super take 2 stocks, save for certain supers (Demon, etc.) that take 4.
-grounded EX moves can be forward dash cancelled on hit (like the early Alpha build of SFIV that was shown to EGM)
–EX moves are basically HP/HK versions of moves for most of the cast, save for those with unique EX attacks (SFII cast, Ryu EX tatsu, Chun EX SBK, etc.)
–All non EX moves that lost properties in IV to their EX versions regain those properties
–combos out of EX dash cancel scale more than regular combos
Yes, to this day, I still have a hard on for what was originally stated in EGM. Also, the way I see it, this system could address one issue with SFIV - that alot of specials were nerfed in favor of their EX versions.
I know it’s soon to think about the game, since SF IV has so much to explore yet.
And well, the title basically says everything, would you like that Capcom bring back the parry system in SF5? I was wondering, if everyone agrees with me, we could make a petition and send to capcom, of what are our thoughts.
Discuss.
Nah, this and the Hold system from DOA make it so this is the focal point of the game lies in baiting and punishing the parry, which is uninteresting and gets old pretty quick.
I think the diehards would accept parries if they were whiff punishable.
The only way I’d want parries back is if there was a whiff animation. And even then, I still want it adjusted more like giving gray life.
u scared?
That would be amazing, it wont happen though.
Its the best and worst thing about 3S. Its to advance for scrubs and to “scrubby” for advance players
