Ibuki thread

Hey dude. Can I get some resets into SA1?

So far Ive only tried s.roundhouse,s.mk,command dash, otg sa1. =\

playing against tom’s ibuki the other day… he did some shit on me that i’ve never seen: launch, back+strong, fierce, cancel command dash to go other side, back+strong, fierce again and command dash go other side… and blah blah

i say use super #2 when getting to the other side… or
do d+short, super #3

as andrew says, super #1 isn’t all that great

I think sa1 is great… gives alot of meter. Im the worst 3rd strike player in the world so I really shouldnt have a say in this. =x

Well, with SA3 you can jump in, toss late dagger, then bap them in the face with a Jab-Strong (far version), link into SA3. The link’s pretty easy once you know the timing and when you know you can do the Jab-Strong for free (that is, when you’re rushing them in the corner with jabs or whatnot… much harder to look for when you’re using stuff-jabs to get out of a situation)

as for SA2, yeah, that setup might work pretty well. It’s my signature series, it has to. :slight_smile:

BTW: Someone figure out that fucking launch combo the Japanese do with c.Fierce or whatever the hell Pyro’s been going off about.

I was playing and accidentally did this combo:
-(Up close) st. Fierce> (after 2nd hit)c. Roundhouse>st. Roundhouse

So I was wondering, what are ALL of her non- special/super chains. Here’s what I got so far:

Ground:

-st. Jab>st. Strong>st. Fierce
-st. Jab>st. Strong>(ater 2nd hit)c. Roundhouse>st. Roundhouse
-st. Short>st. Forward>st. Roundhouse
-(Up close) st. Fierce> (after 2nd hit)c. Roundhouse>st. Roundhouse

In air:

-Short> fwd. Forward
-Jab> fwd. Fierce
-Fierce>fwd. Forward

Anything else?

Another thing. After reading Arlieth Tralare’s post about parry>Forward slide against multi-hit fireballs on page 6 (I think) I remembered this.

I enjoy busting Fwd. Roundhouse to get over fireballs and kick a scrub in the face at the same time, assuming I’m close enough. Can’t remember if this only works on Chun or if it works Shoto’s as well.

Anyone else know about this? Or any other interesting little ninja jukes?

I havent tried it. Wouldnt she get hit though? Even at close.

F. Roundhouse works against shotos and Chun. If you can predict it and if some idiot would throw a fireball in your face it will jump over it and kick them.

is there any good use for her command dash? new to 3s and want to learn ibuki more

No she gets hit by proj. Its good for resets… ask Arlieth… cuz I suck. =(

Ps. The standing lk mk HAS to be blocked.

ah lol, what setups could i use for the reset? another question, does she have a long recovery time after throwing a regular kunai?

Kunai: Sorta. You can use it to your advantage, actually, because she pauses in the air and can fake people out right before she hits the ground. Last-minute daggers fucking own.

EX Kunai hits as hard as a fierce.

As for resets, meh, stuff after Roundhouse launch.

Hey can you connect her command grab after a jab kunai? =D

command grab is blockable…

noone uses her taunt… it is combo-able though
