Timing is definitely off. If you’re getting a regular jump, that means you’re inputting your super jump too fast. Specifically, the down input is too early, and the game is only reading the the up forward input, hence why you’re only getting a regular jump.
ok ill get working on that thanks again mingo
Thanks guys, helped me a lot.
My inputs seem a little off when I try to hit 3xK in the middle of the TC4, I often get inputs like:
:lk::mk::hk:
:hk:
or MK + HK before the actuall 3xK, usually that doesn’t happen to me.
:lk:>:mk: SCJ U2 seems a little bit easier as you said Mingo.
Made a video for a friend of mine, who trolled me a lot because I couldn’t do it several days ago, but after some practice in training mode, I finally made it.
Thanks again. :3
im having trouble with ibuki’s kunai i can get it to cross up but i cant figure how to get it to fake cross up do i do it a little be4 or after i would do it to cross up
Practice your timing (when to jump and when to kunai).
Grab a second controller and hold down one direction; set training dummy to Dhalsim and then vortex 1000 times.
ive been playing around with training mode for a while now and a few more questions have been raised. when i try to cross up at close range after a kd with my kunai they are out of “hitstun” before im able to start my tc4 and they are able to block. are they always able to block that or am i just doing something wrong…?
Aim your kunai so they block it low, at like the legs. If they block your kunai at the chest or higher, you won’t be able to combo off it, generally speaking.
ok that seems to be working thanks
another thing…since im in practice right now i can only seem to hit below the chest area when i dont cross up do u have to use a super jump with this or a regular jump
You can do either super jump or regular jump; it doesn’t matter. Just keep playing around with your timing.
u have to throw before theyre in thier standing animation i think…
yes that is what u have to do
ive been practicing a lot for the past couple days and i can get my tsumuji loops and sjc into u2 in training almost every time, but when i try to play online i lose almost every single match. is this from lag that i cant do any of the stuff i can in training mode?? Because it seems like im getting the hang of these things but then when i try to apply it to a real senario i end up getting my ass kicked and thats really aggrivating. I can only manage to keep my pp in the 300-500 range i always win my first few matches but once i lose one then its all over from that point on.
Don’t worry about being able to do 1f link combos online.
is it because of lag that i shud refrain from them?
Lag makes timing inconsistent. If you must go for hard combos online, go ahead, but training to do combos online is a waste of time. Just like that lag setting in mvc3 training mode. It’s not really realistic.
ive another question this one is about versing a character with a srk. ive noticed that(most of the time) when a char with srk jumps in and i nj.mk them as soon as they land they will mash out their srk. at first i kept getting hit by it cause i was trying to with with a cr.lp to start a combo. Im guessing there is no way to do that based on my luck but idk… after i figured that out i just guard after i hit with my nj.mk on a jump in. the real question i wanna ask is that the best thing to do or is there a move that will hit a srk before they can use it or shud i just guard it? i shud also add that sometimes when i try to guard i get thrown. and if i try to block a throw my cr.lk comes out and i get hit by the srk o_O. is it all just a guessing game or is there some way to tip it in my favor??
Depends on the spacing, but generally your best options are
- backdash
- block and/or walk back
- EX kazegiri
When you antiair your opponent with nj.MK, remember that it does not generate a knockdown. It simply resets your opponent.
If you notice your opponent is dp happy, I would just block and punish, hard and true.
I’m new to this game and I really took a liking to Ibuki. I don’t know if I’m asking questions that have already been asked. I’m sorry if I am. >_<
Would she be an okay choice to start off playing with?
Is she difficult to play in higher level of play?
&& Is she a really technical character?
- I think Ryu would be better, but there’s no reason why not.
- She requires more muscle memory practice than some other characters.
- Just as much as the rest of the cast really. She’s not played solely by reaction like Honda, but the main technical aspects include practicing on different characters for certain combos.
