Alright been playing more and more on rushdowns; yet I know one of my weaknesses is staying on the inside (offensive) with her sometimes its frustrating to get Srk’d and fly back and having to start all over to get back into poking games and mixups; do you guys use any specific things during overall matches to get in quickly and stay there safely?

How are you plinking the link? which buttons are you pressing? I was under the impression that plinking was used to get mediums and hard attacks to come out easier.

Like really … why am askin? cause am sick of mostly a lot of CHARECTERS counter me online!! let alone the fact there’s always lag aside, a lot of charecters own the SHIT out of Ibuki.
doesnt mean i kick ass sometimes, though i noticed i get ass kicked more often!!! more than i imagined. at first i though hey, tis the learning period but now am like if i know those stuff with ibuki why am i still gettin ass kicked.
wut annoys me is, know wut ibuki does and that’s it!! she has fail defense in a lot of situation and if u know how to counter her vortex then ibuki will always get owned.

As i said not an hour ago,online is for training purpose’s only so stop taking it so seriously.
You have to play smarter against smarter players,stop playing her one dementionally,she’s alot better then just a vortex engine.
Fine a few good ryu/ken’s and really grind that match out over several several hours against them till you learn the nuances.
This is just that old school grind it out vs newer school i want everything handed to me.
For the record,every fight cannot be approached the same way and you will notice that the best players in the world dont play the same match the same way every time.

I don’t think BP is a very good indicator of skill, at least beyond like 1500 (under that and they’re probably still learning their character).
You don’t really NEED vortex to win. It’s just extra dps added to Ibuki’s rush down arsenal. If you keep up the rush down and get knockdown after knockdown, you won’t need vortex. Plus Ibuki cannot vortex certain characters, so how do you propose you beat them? Just vortex cannot simply be your only method of winning.
Anyways your question seems much too vague. You say you’re getting pwned by all these number characters with a range of tactics. It’d be impossible to give specific matchup advice without first seeing what’s going on in your fights. i believe ur in the wrong track, am not saying that only do nothing but Vortex…am talkin about it in general that a lot of players counter Ibuki wither playin smartly or doin nothing but vortex. Countering Ibuki is REALLy easy due to a lot and LOTS of facts.
i can prove it to you as simple as eatin a cake, lets start by this question and once u answer it i will respond to u with even more facts…wut’s ur current BP with Ibuki? yes i know u hate online, but just go with the rhyme.

PS: Ryu and ken, i own the fuck out of em! though it doesnt mean that the SLIGHTEST effort they do against Ibuki while on the other hand Ibuki pushing her best Limits in every single situation is a fair match…i seriously can play with Ryu/ken using just my nose and own people specially against Ibukis. same applies to a LOT of other characters, not just ryu or ken that can easily beat IBuki .

My bp i donno atm something like 5k with like 2-3k pp it flux’s because i’m not the only one playing on my account.
I guuess i should be more specific about online modes,i dont hate them at all but they are in no way a testement to skill in general.
I play alot of endless battles against friends and locals and make a constant point to play people better then myself no matter how irritating it is easy wins dont make you learn anything.
As for as Ken/ryu and the vortex thing that is what you placed emphasis on.
If you dont have a local scene in your area just trying and make some friends who are good at the matchups you are struggling with,believe it or not i am trying to help you or anyone else that ask’s.
But if you come at me with hostility or just troll like crazy in general i’m not going to blow on your balls and tell you how special you are man.

To many unaccountable factors that can tip the scales and theres nothing you can do about it,if their were no lag and a system in place to constantly scan for anything that might give one player an undue advantage over the other then all tourneys would be online man,would be alot more money in it and massive turnouts.

Tbh, I don’t think you’re actually playing any good Ryus/Kens. If you’re that hesitant to post videos asking for advice in the Ibuki critique thread, then play my Ryu and you can learn from that.
Tier lists, especially ones this early after release, need to be taken with grains of salt. For the most part, most characters are generally in their right rankings, but over time I’m sure they’ll be 100% figured out and characters will move up/down.
Have you actually looked at the chart? Do you know how tier lists are created? They’re based on matchups. Ibuki has a couple matchups in her favor, while Gief has good/bad matchups everywhere, and Ken is almost mostly even with everybody. That’s why Ibuki is ranked slightly higher. I say slightly because it’s only a 3-6.5 point difference. You should be worried if you played someone like Hakan who has bad matchups against almost half the cast.
This chart is a newer updated version of the older chart released on like may 11 or something. Just read the damn blog and it’ll tell you.
My Ibuki only has 1000+ BP Ranked C. And my PP is like 800-1200. Lol… Well I play in Asia and most matches against Japan maybe that’s why. I just play online casually anyway so I don’t really care about ranks much. Grinding… ew.

as for ur answer on the BP. first off why u saying that online rank match system is not faire or that it doesnt determine skill?
secondly, even if it doesnt! I ,one of the people,i get owned sometimes in rank matchs…which is frustrating. the rank system, even if it’s broken there are characters that are flawless in these ranking charts.
IBUKI, not a single A Rank player so far!! not a single one…ryu, Bison, ken…etc dominating the charts. so if the online system is broken, why cant there be A rank Ibuki players by now like the others? the maximum BP ibuki player is 12k BP… others are alrdy 15k-17k now, so why not ibuki?
does it mean that it’s hard to get Ibuki to the top compared to other characters? if so then why…isnt me saying that Ibuki is REALLY hard to play with and that a lot of characters can easily counter her is true in this situation?

I haven’t really given any time to much of the “new” returning characters other than completing their trials.
Coming from years of 3s, Ibuki returning in SSFIV was a kind of meek news to me. I didn’t much see or hear anything impressive about Ibuki in 3s and that prejudice carried over.
After looking at match-up/tier list found in the SSFIV main forums, it’s telling me that Ibuki is a rather solid character!
Despite being still very much too early for an accurate match-up chart, I think Ibuki being in above average spot in the match-up is a good indication of being a pretty good character.
Due to my lack of knowledge on Ibuki, I’m not able to really understand what makes her such a solid character.
So I would like to request your insight. Although, I prefaced my post with the Ibuki’s respectable placing on the match-up/tier list, I find it much more relevant to hear from Ibuki players.
Sometimes top players discussing “how 10 matches between players of equal-skill level playing these characters would turn out” can be very different from 10 matches between players of equal-average-skill level.
So what say you, Ibuki players?
