So with that, is it possible to do cr.LPx2, cl.st.LP, MP, HP xx anything ? Because it’s more easy than the BNB cr.LP, st.MK and probably it misses less often than cr.LP, st.LK,MK (TC) against crouching opponent.
I believe cr.LPx2 pushes your opponent back too far for a cl.LP. cr.LPx1 would work though, assuming you were meaty enough.
Ok thanks
DJ add this to the first post. It’s a Japanese vid showing some of the basic combos with Ibuki with input display.

This is brilliant. Great find. Thanks CoosCoos.
I am in love with Ibuki’s F+Mk overhead on knock down <_>~
What can we link after Target Combo 5? Outside of close range ? :lp: :mp: :r:+:lk:
Ok this question might be retarded, I have been practicing SJC since I suck with them. I am slooooooowly getting better at doing them but still my brain isn’t thinking follow ups afterwards, it just wants to get the SJC down first. That aside, I have been trying to SJC into ultra 2 and I have yet to pull it off I think. So my question is this, if you set the training dummy to auto block start up your target combo and the SJC into U2 the computer should NOT block the ultra right? I knew there were somethings that the computer can and will block that I didn’t think was possible for human opponents but I couldn’t remember.
Safe Jump from Raida?
Has anyone found a safe jump setup off of Raida or an ambiguous crossup?
Target combo SJC to U2 counts as full combo, so yes the dummy should NOT block the ultra. You’re probably just messing up your inputs or timing or something.
I usually just dash/commanddash within range and then go for a j.LK crossup.
Auto-block will block everything apart from the first hit, since her l.mk>m.mk>ultra 2 is one big combo, the computer won’t block the ultra if you do it properly.
Definitely messing it up, as I thought. /sigh. I can do the command dash SJC (1 of 10 times) but ultra is proving more difficult for me : ( I tried doing it for 4 and half hours yesterday, not a single success. I am beginning to think I just don’t have what it takes. I used to be good at fighting games, till I started playing people who actually were good. Course now it’s 20 some odd years later and it’s hard to learn some of this stuff for old people like me.
I am serious jealous of those who either grew up in a more vibrant fighting game scene or those who are in the process of in this new age of information overload lol.
Well back to the grind stone. My only goal is to be good enough to someday compete and place respectively. Or at least not get eliminated in the first round lol.
^Don’t give up!
I thought I was hopeless too back when the game was only out for 2 weeks. I just kept practicing now I’m getting better at the timing. Some people get it faster than others. I thought I was a failure because other people were getting consistent while I was stuck on it. But that’s not the case you just have to keep practicing. One thing I learned from the past month at playing this game is that putting yourself down is only going to hold you back.
In the end, SJC ultra isn’t worth the hoopla unless you’re going to decide the round with it. U2 is better for going through predictable projectiles or punishing something on block a screen away. Btw, I like how after I make this post I start fucking up the SJC ultra D=
Spinning beat hit the nail on the head, honestly I barely ever sjc U2, even though I can consistently, against projectiles its Gotlike, punishes every honda headbutt except ex, and a lot of sweeps on reversal (akumas, ibukis etc - there was a list of sweep punishes someone put out but you can just check frame data)
Sjc ultra is a tool ibuki doesn’t need, so that’s why coos and a lot of people say go U1, which is still up for debate because you can go rounds without that too haha.
Ultras are the icing on the cake, not the cake itself, rely on it at your peril.
That said any damage is good damage and if you can consistantly overhead combo into SCJ u2 it’s more then worth it but make sure your 100% on connecting it or at the worst ex kaza, given it scales poorly but it changes how you play and what risks you can and cannot take vs u1’s better damage but if your relying on it as a “Gotcha” or reversal your going to go fishing for it and that can lose you games with the quickness.
Now for hexidecimal,i do have to ask if your on a stick or a pad,if it’s a pad i suggest you read any and all of Wolfkrone’s posts on pad accuracy as he is the finest pad player that consistently use’s SJC(albet with viper) i have ever seen.
If it’s a stick i would ask what stick,i recently replaced most of the innards of mine with a Sanwa JLF and switched from and Octogate to a square one and have seen my accuracy increase at least a good 70% or so.
I am still adjusting to the new stick’s throw and the gate but i am getting there.
I can’t believe I have to repeat myself in two different threads.
SJC’ing into U2 is useless when you can do the same damage for no meter, huge stun, and better positioning. And anyone who can do a reversal U1 on stuff really should practice more IMO. It really is better for most matchups and adds a scare factor since you can punish stuff that is at least -2 or -3 on block. Even shotos dp xx fadc and Rufus ex messiah, lk followup xx fadc forward are punished by reversal U1.
Seriously, once people actively and consistently input the tsumuji loops into matches, you’ll understand how good it is and how relatively safe it is to try due to linking a 3 frame normal.
Lol you can argue with me about it if you like or you can just stop and admit they are both good for seperate reasons and once you get to a high enough player skill level your frame trap options will be hugely limited and gimmicks dont work to well.
That and one frame links consistantly is no diffrent now then it has ever been and that shit miss’s no matter how good the player is.
So stop grinding your ax about combo’d u2 and take what damage you can where you can.
please can someone tell me what im doing wrong here, whenever i catch someone with a FA and try to do U2, the 1st hit send them way into the air and the rest of the ultra just misses them completly. is this ultra simply unuseable after a FA or am i doing something wrong?
Question
Is anybody else doing this… I’m been on this forum and I havent seen anyperson talking about it… Does anyone use Jump In TC then to st.HK mk.kazegire SUPER? It’s like 502 damage and a great way to land a super outside the regular ways… Lemme know guys
If you take too long after landing the focus attack the first hit of the Ultra will reset them into the air, whiffing the rest. It’s perfectly possible to connect U2 after a focus crumple, you’ve just got to do it earlier in the crumple.
