You can buy the Hori Hayabusa and kuros now, the Hayabusa is 30 dollars on Hori’s site and on Focus Attack as well as the kuros, which are 20 dollars for a complete set of 8 on Hori’s site and 2.50 a pop on Focus attack. They only come in black, which is sort-of a let down though…
I’m talking about the silent Kuro and Hayabusa which are installed in Sako’s custom stick and not available on the market. I know the Hayabusa and Kuro has been out for a long time as I have the Hayabusa on my stick for quite a while now. Not feeling the Kuro buttons after I touched it though.
Did anyone realise we cannot safe jump gens u1?
Or can we and I’m being an idiot. And if we can how? I’ve tried the b+mp, and the ex neckbreaker LK CD safe jumps beats me out every time.
The Google doc says we can too…

Yes, this had been known at least since AE 2012. Think of Gen’s Ultra 1 Zetsuei like Zangief’s or Hakan’s Ultra 2s: once they have it, do not jump on them PERIOD.

Hey guys, back with some more Qs
- I’ve been trying the agemen setup for a while now and I’m pretty sure I’m doing it wrong. I’ve used a dummy zangief mashing lariat, and I’ve gotten hit every single time it he reversals. Not sure what I’m doing wrong, but Zangief is 4f startup on lariat so it should work right?
EDIT: Nvm I think I can get it to work but it’s really hard, and only with lk not hk. It seems like this isn’t worth it as compared to me trying to cross up, which seems to much more easily stuff the reversal…Can you guys actually perform this with good consistency online?

What is the best way to deal with people who try to focus backdash or regular backdash when I jump in? I’ve tried doing OS neckbreaker, but I have a hard time doing it fast enough to actually “select” both options. Like when I try to input the NB I don’t have time to input the jumpin combo if my lk actually does connect on the crossup. Any advice regarding this?

Sometimes I jump in and for whatever reason (probably cause people mash dp), I hit them on the crossup but they sort of fly into the air and I can’t combo them afterwards. What are the best options to do in this situation?

Random matchup question: I see a lot of vegas my level just fly around and do the flying barcelona into attack/grab constantly. It’s hard for me to figure out how to deal with it since basically never see this kind of thing in high level vega play. What’s the best way to deal with this?
Thanks!

Thansk for the reply QjonPL! I will try out your advice. I was wondering when you guys OS, for example with OS sweep, do you always OS no matter who you’re playing, on every single jumpin, or only when adapting to an opponent who has shown he will backdash etc.?
You can also use the TC off a jump in to blow up focus

Also, tried this today. Seemed to initially work but Vega seems to be able to adjust his timing against this and grab/hit me out of the air. Not sure if I’m timing this wrong or if you can just actually adjust for this punish?

You have to time it better. You can also try using well-timed cl.HK into raida/dp etc.
what are ibuki’s frametraps? i only know of c.forward to s.forward.

that has a 4 frame window if you time it perfectly and should stop or trade with any 4 frame or higher move. cr.MP to any form of LP has a 4 frame difference.
I would simply do cr.LP cr.LP blockstring into st.MK because that goes into her BnB and cr.LP after block to far.st.MK has a 2-frame window allowing only grabs and reversals to stop it, in which the cr.LP, cr.LP pushes them out so the grab will be less likely to land.
Hey I’m pretty new to this site. My buddy and I fight all the time, my main is Ibuki and his is Akuma. For the most part we were having pretty solid, close matches. Then he studied the crap out of our fights. Now he waits for the moment he’s knocked me down and crosses me up on wakeup with Akuma’s mk and follows that up with either a sweep or hurricane kick depending on if he’s worried I’ll FADC out of the mk. I’m having massive trouble trying to figure out a punish for this or how to avoid it altogether rather than just blocking.
A wake up kazegiri works only if he’s timed his jump a little too late. Otherwise, his timing on making sure I wake up to his mk is pretty spot on. Any help?

I’ve been using the walk forward f+lk ambiguous jumpins when I get a knockdown, but what is the best follow up to a DWU?

I’ve tried looking for the technical while I’m doing f+lk, then (normal jump) throwing LP kunai on technical reaction, and while it hits the opponent, I can’t seem to combo TC4 into it. Does this mean I need to throw it faster? If the opponent blocks it, should I still have enough time to do TC4 and continue the pressure or do I have to just block?
Are there other options I can do for DWU other than the kunai toss? Yesterday on the WC warzone stream I saw Whitegun react to DWU by doing the overhead on landing, but whenever I try to do anything after I land from DWU I get grabbed. In general it seems like whenever I jump in from a DWU I get grabbed. If I know my opponent will do this is there any counter or do I just have to tech it?
Thanks

You’re probably throwing the kunai too late in her jump arc.
Try buffering the kunai motion in the air, and if you spot the technical, hit lp; if not land your j.lk instead.
If you keep getting grabbed when trying to do overhead, you’re doing it too slow. Either from jumping too late or doing the overhead too late. Her overhead is airborne so it’s immune to throws.

If his MK is “spot on” then you have three or more options:
• Use delayed wake-up. It was added in Ultra so utilize it, his timing will get screwed. To do delayed wakeup mash any two buttons when you get knocked down.
• Block. Observe where he starts his jump and base your prediction of a cross-up off that. Note that akuma can divekick or might do a demon flip or tatsu in the air. This will make you a better player if you can do it.
• If it isn’t a safejump and you know 100% he WILL go for an attack, do an invincible reversal (AKA dp – dragon punch). Ibuki’s EX Kazegiri (Z motion with two kick buttons) has the most invincibility so you will succeed the most.
Now I know you said he tends to cross you up, to do a DP or dragon punch when someone crosses you up, you have to do something called an “auto correct DP”, look up videos on it. Here is one video:
You also said he knows you will FADC out, you shouldn’t rely on this option at all during wake-up but keep it in your arsenal for specific situations you may face later on.
So I’ve been wondering, after hitting practice mode to practice combos and setups, how do you guys consistently do them during a game? I can get the links down in practice, but in a match I freeze up and mess up timing. How do you practice not freezing up in a match? It’s becoming a problem and it’s frustrating because I can always pinpoint exactly what I did wrong, but I can’t communicate to my hands fast enough to fix it.
