For some reason my password that i’ve used here since forever, suddendly became “incorrect” and wouldn’t work for anything. WTF. I had to reset it with a new one. Afterwards it was fine but, that was very strange.

It’s not really strange, so much as it is just how the discourse software works. I think if you have an old SRK password that’s only 8 characters or shorter it automatically rejects your account. When you make your new password it asks for a 10 character minimum. Likely as some auto protection for any migrating passwords it rejects any account with short passwords.
Ahhh! That makes perfect sense then.

I noticed that my old password was too short for this site when trying to create a new account since I couldn’t log in, so I simply requested a password reset for my original account to be sent to my Email adress and it worked just fine.
