It depends. Which type of syrup, the viscosity, is there additives, the container if its plastic or glass, etc.

Ketchup has its place, like on fries or a dry as hell burger, but it definitely isn’t that great. It’s pretty much all sugar.
I don’t even have the money for the plane flight.
I put ketchup on my eggs in the Marines. The Eggs was often awful and ketchup made the eggs palatable. Its ether you put ketchup or hotsauce on your eggs to make then taste okay, or deal with nasty eggs as you aren’t getting anything else. I will still do it today if the eggs are awful and I don’t have many options.
Best ketchup is banana ketchup, the sweet and spicy one that you Americans get as “banana sauce” in the asian market.
