I am in the middle of modding my Mayflash Arcade stick and here is where I am at so far.
- I was able to mount the joystick and I was able to put the Sanwa buttons in.
- I am using quick disconnects to connect my Sanwa buttons and ground them together.
- The problem now is how to connect the harness wires to the PCB for the joystick.
I have looked at other pictures and other threads from various sites, but I need specific instructions based on the pictures that are shown on here. Thank you!
Also, if possible, can someone show me a picture of what to do step-by-step. I know this is too much to ask but I am just new to this modding thing and even soldering… >_<

2009 Mayflash is not Common Ground.
And you have that version.
So don’t use the Sanwa Wire Harness.
Your Buttons are okay.
Your Joystick is not.
For the JLF, you have to cut up the PCB.
Or you can just desolder the Microswitches off and throw away PCB.
Cut Traces on Sanwa JLF PCB.
Solder wires back on.

Solder directly to Microswitches, either under PCB or there.

You can desolder the Microswitches from TP-MA.
Dispose of the PCB and just use the Microswitches.
You can replace the whole TP-MA with four individual Microswitches.
But why do that?
Or you can find a Sanwa JLF-TM-8.
Solder to it like the Seimitsu, or use Quick Disconnects.
I get it now (a little). However…
-
I do not have a dremel, so how do I go about “cutting the PCB”?
-
With the microswitches, how do I know what do connect and what not to connect?
-
If you look at my 4th posted picture, the wires to the original Mayflash microswitches were cut off and they’re short. Should I solder new wires to the PCB for the joystick or should I connect the 22AWG wires along with the existing wires for the joystick?
I used a screwdriver.
There are only two Terminals on the Microswitch, COM and NO.
COM (Common) is for Ground, NO (Normally Open) is for Signal.
I know you cut them short.
You have extra wires, your JLF-H, and you have Quick Disconnects.
Although I don’t know if you have both Male and Female Quick Disconnects.
I think it is cooler to remove the wires and connectors on the Mayflash PCB altogether.
Then solder new wires in its place.
I have both some female disconnects…
