Can pool get anything out of virgil( rapid slash?). My team is point deadpool (quick work), ironman second (repulsar), x
I have been thinking about testing out a team with Rapid Slash. Haven’t gotten beyond thinking about it though. Rapid Slash would be good for Deadpool for two reasons. One, it pushes the opponent fullscreen on block, creating space for Deadpool. Two, it hits at fullscreen which means it can be used to cover Deadpool’s teleport (but it’s not the best at this, if you mistime it they’ll get pushed too far away). And then there’s the Vergil DHC which fixes Deadpool’s damage problem (and is easy to go into after a failed teleport DHC).
Thought of a reset for Deadpool/Dorm a few hours ago, and I need someone to figure out why it sucks, as I like it, and want to make sure I’m not forgetting something. I bet I am.
Combo, carry to corner, with more than moderate hitstun. Katanarama/chimichangas, they’re towards midscreen. Jump and call Dormammu, j.M, doublejump towards with j.H. Forward tech, grab 'em. Neutral tech, they graze the bottom of deadpool’s j.H, land in the front of the dark hole, do overhead/low stuff, maybe go into teleport pressure (which I still suck at, I’m on a bit more than week 2 over here). Back tech, they block j.H (maybe get thrown, but not often), land in the backside of dark hole, and after they block it you have the option to dash under them before they land for sneaky crossups, or low/high, mebbe.
Airdashes would work for escaping, if they’re quick about it and back tech, otherwise I think they’d get hit by buttons.
I bet someone can smack me out of it and get a birthday, and I don’t trust my resets with a new character. People, tell me how this reset is/how I can improve upon it.
Gotta say this is one rockin’ forum. I love playin’ Deadpool. Right now I’m runnin’ Deadpool (a), Dante (a), Amaterasu (b). I’ve seen and heard that Deadpool and Dante’s got some pretty rockin’ synergy but I was wondering if there’s synergy with Deadpool and Amaterasu (mixups, reset, combos, etc.). Anything with Deadpool/Dante would also be really helpful

This was partly based off who I play good with and partly on team synergy. Here’s part 2 of my set with my friend…
Recently have been messing around with Deadpool(quickwork)/Doom (beam)/Hawkeye (Scattershot) I got to say it’s really fun and it seems really good for SJ characters or characters who like to move around a lot. It helps with that because missiles and vajra can be dodged by characters like Magneto relatively easily with plink dashing etc.
Scattershot assist also allows me to do some nice combos and Beam helps hawkeye get full screen hit confirms.
So I’ve been stalking the Deadpool forums for about a week now and have decided I’m going to pick him up as my fourth character (other three being Nova, Strange, and Dante). So naturally, Ill learn Deadpool using Wade/Strange/Dante. I was curious what people think about this team? I have labbed and researched some things about it like Bolts+HT L xx Teleport confirms as well as Strange hard tag combos/DHC glitches. Also I have about two BnBs down with Deadpool, one being cL(L)MsH xx QW H dash sS jH xx Bolo QWH dash sS jHS OTGWallbounce (additional katanarama) xx Super. My second one uses a sS which goes into a similar sequence. Sorry for the meh notation. But I’m assuming these combos are pretty optimal?
Anyway, is there anything I’m missing with Deadpool team construction? Additionally, how would Deadpool use Jam sesh and Bolts in the neutral other than assist + teleport? How would he use them in his combos? And Finally, any general tips? Anythings appreciated and thanks in advanced!!

The only thing I can tell you about your team (since I have played as that team before for fun) is DO NOT THC!
Strange will take the person away from Deadpool and Dante’s guns loving them both wide open for Happy Birthday.
What if you THC with Strange, XF, H-teleport Impact palm and then went into ghetto impact palm loops on the ground while Dpool/Dante keep the opponent in place. Or you could do that, set up grace of whatever, then … well I don’t know, I don’t play strange but that’s something you could mess around with in training mode.

Umm lemme see. First off, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5rlcMiEZJiI#t=3m28 - this has some deadpool/strange loops tech that you’re going to want to learn.
Bolts cover Deadpool’s teleports really well, so you don’t really have to worry about getting grabbed out of teleports as you normally would.
Jam session is used a lot to keep the opponent locked down in the corner and mix them up. They can’t pushblock you away while the assist is keeping them in blockstun, so you have some pretty crazy mixup opportunities.
Did some testing, and I think I have something pretty good. Anyone who uses Deadpool/Dormammu with dark hole assist, do a combo that leads into the corner, katanrama chimichangas, jump forward and press j.M and call Dark Hole at the same time, then doublejump forward and press fH while timing it assuming them to tech towards you. The reset is pretty intense.

wow when you wrote it down it didn’t seem that good, but seeing it in action it seems a lot better and more useful than I previously thought.
Now there is one thing I can see a problem with it, and that is mashing on an assist such as doom beam and hitting you or the assist.
Hrm…right…assists. Good point, man, thanks. My guess, without testing it at all, depends on where the assist shows up on each different tech. I’ll check in the lab later when I get free time. Lariat and Hulk’s anti-air will kill me, that’s for sure, not sure about plasma.
Another problem is if they mash jab and hit me before my throw attempt, but not everyone can convert that into a full combo from such a quick hit…I’ll try it until people kill me for it, I guess. Lol.
I still think just doing [Insert Combo], S, J.l, J.H or J.l, Double jump (J.mh xx Bolo/ J.H throw OS) is an amazing reset to feint tacs. But I bet there are probably a few other assists that can do this same set-up like Lariat maybe and Eye of agamotto for sure.

I want to ask you guys who could be a good secondary.
Doom, Strange, Task are what I’d say would be your three best choices. Then maybe dante, Dorm, or Rocket Raccoon.
