Marvel main event, even if it isn’t it will be.
I doubt MVC3 will have more players than SSFIV, but I would not be surpised if it does have a few more, MVC3 isnt as popular as SFIV to the general gamer and fighting fan, keeping track of 6 characters rather than just 2 is harsh on a lot of people.
I just hope that the Xbox 360 is the console for Evo, but I know it wont be, I just keep the hope alive until Wiz confirms PS3.
why would you ever not want the newest game to be the main event…idg it. thats like saying "SF4 shouldnt be the main event at evo 09 because its a new game and hasnt had time to build a scene but MvC2 has been here for ten years and has more hype!’

MvC3 won’t surpass ssf4 this year, because ssf4 already has an established base of players, but it has the potential to best it eventually.
Overall, you guys care too much about which is more popular. Play what you want. Though it is hilarious to see ssf4 fans freak out at the thought of another game being the center of attention. If you really like ssf4, you should still want to play it regardless if it’s the popular game or not.
Oh yeah, I remember during that capcom stream Justin Wong said he thinks Marvel 3 will be the more popular one. Think about that guys.
Maybe he should compare MvC2 to HDR.
The game with the most players should be the main event, I think it should be that simple. Look at MMA or boxing for example. The fight that garners the most attention and with the most money involved will be the main event. If SSF4 has more players and more people interested in watching it, it should be the main event.
But there will be plenty of majors before Evo. If MvC3 keeps pulling in more players then SSF4 major after major then yes it should be the main event over SSF4. But if it doesn’t do so, I think Evo and every other major should keep SSF4 as the main event unless the tournament wants to put more emphasis on MvC3.
MvC3 will be big, but I don’t think it’ll be as big as SSF4. Only time will tell though.

judging by reactions on streams, interviews, and posts on here, people are way more excited for mvc3 than ssf4
I feel like if the game is advertised correctly it can be bigger or as big as super.
At least I sure hope so. I really want a good game to become popular.
I want MVC3 to be bigger cause Marvel is what EVO is about.
But I think SSFIV will be main this yer cause of the following it already has.
Next year though it’ll be MVC3. It’ll have gotten a bit more flavor cause its gonna get salty.
