Why are you guys, from the areas that have dispensaries, still buying from street dealers? You know how easy it is to get an MMJ card? It’s as easy as saying you have back ache and are sick of popping aspirin. You weed scrubs need to step it up a notch. And as for @SoVi3t, I said this like 420000000x times already, US doesn’t get majority of it’s green in Canada you schmuck, it’s either majority grown in house(at the dispensaries) or through a network of people with in the US called CARE GIVERS. Funny story, some lady at work helped me out so I offered some Korean Fried Chicken because #1 it’s delicious and #2 she’s black. She was all like, "Why do it gotta KO-REE-UHN?!! I want some 'MURICAN Fried Chicken"

Most of the people I know that have an MMJ card dont even get their pot from a dispensary, they have it so they dont get busted.

Makes me think…had pg&e (power company) come out for some shit. Dude wanted to go in the garage so I told him to hold on. I rushed out and put my shit away. I opened the door and the dude was like “Im cool man”, and he busted out his little card. He also told me most of the people on my street are growing it.

Also…some dude told the doctor he couldnt take a dump till he smoked. Card approved. Such bullshit man.

Considering the ridiculous deals you get for having a MMJ card and having care giver rights and what to do with those rights, you either have to know a legit grower to not even bother going to the many dispensaries, grow it yourself, or are paranoid enough to not even bother getting one to begin with, due to being on a government list. Seriously, if you are still buying stuff in sandwich bags from some guy, you deserve to get ripped off. Which is hilarious because ever since dispensaries started to pop up like wild fire, the street dealers either had to go legit or quit. And as for @sovi3t, you disagree and yet can’t retort any reason what so ever on this myth that there are semi trucks that deliver BC bud all over the USA, LOL do these truck drivers give a green pass to the mounties at boarder patrol or a mythical weed dragon that does similar pick up and drop to like the Amazon.com drones or what? I’ve lived in Colorado since the day they made it medicinally legal in the area that I lived in, and know for a fact that they don’t get majority of their product in Canada, BUT locally. Ive never been ripped off. Been getting my pot from the same person for years now. I dont know what “ridiculous deals” you’re talking about. Other than being able to grow it and not get busted (maybe) what is there? Most people dont want to bother with that though and still get it from some dealer of sorts.

Whats a legit grower? I recently started getting it from a new guy, he grows it. He offers to sell me clones and gives me clippings and shit. I think he’s legit.

P.S. good buds is good buds no matter where you’re at.

The ridiculous deals I’m talking about are at dispensaries that completely destroys the black market prices that everyone was once used to paying. Unless your guy can supply you with multiple choices of herb(20+ kinds), at a price that is less than $7 bucks a gram or less(or free at times, due to how care giver rights work), then maybe you should just stick to your guy that you had for years. It’s like being a kid at a candy store when you are at a dispensary, not sure why you think people would be timid from going into those places. And as for being a legit grower, there are people that grow stuff that is maybe a step up from schwag, but I had past neighbors that took growing as an art and now have a huge green house with hydroponic systems that they are exclusive to the mmj industry. I’m telling you, it’s a lot better then it was before the mmj boom.

i love the amount of work you guys are going through for weed.

I was entertaining some American girls a few years back, and one of the girls asked if me or any of my buddies (all Canadian) had weed. We all pulled out fat bags of weed, and the girls were all blown (and later us too :wink: ) away. All the girls were amazed, and stated they had never seen that many people have that much weed just casually.

For any of you who haven’t been to Canada, it really is a different culture. It’s pretty much everywhere, and the fact it’s illegal is a huge joke. Cops don’t even bother busting for simple possession due to being too lazy to fill out paperwork. In BC the houses are literally being built to house grow ops.

lol leave this thread. I grew it in high school (yes…only in high school) so that I could live on my own and finish high school (I left an abusive home when I was 16), and you can easily do a dozen or so plants in a small apartment with little or no issues (although your apartment will always smell like pot even outside of it).

When my buddy read up on it back in the wee days of the internet, he decided to hit up a hydroponics store that was advertising constantly on the radio (and still does), and went to try to buy some of the stuff he needed, and the guys there laughed at him and flat out said they knew he was growing weed and then hooked him up with proper equipment and gave him a discount.

I’ve walked down the street in my city smoking weed. When I went to Toronto, people were just doing the same or just standing on the sidewalk in busy public places, blazing. Most bars and clubs and shit, people will smoke it whenever. In big clubs, people just blaze inside. Only time I ever got busted smoking pot by the cops, I was standing right in front of a strip club smoking a bowl with some friends. Cop pulled up, i put the pipe in my pocket, he asked who had the weed, I said we just finished a joint and were going home, and the cop said “Ok, get home fast” and was gone.
