Repulsion, attraction, and gravitation aren’t back dp motions anymore?

Magneto looks the same to me just nerfed in line with the rest of the cast. His high-low game is still fast as shit. It’s just not free anymore from the looks of it. His Tri-jump looks to be about Storm speed, which is still unblockable. His fly H loop still works even outside of the corner. Don’t worry, he’s still mag freaking neto. YOu guys didn’t get screwed pver like Dante and Iron man players did lol.
Maybe I’m nuts, but his dash did not seem nearly as fast at Capcom Fight Club. Even in comparison to the Evo build.
I remember remarking to myself when playing, “Damn, this feels really slow now.” I did notice that plinking his tridash normals still worked, so thats good.

j.H adf j.M j.H pushes them back to far from full screen to connect a xx Fly into normal, it seems.
HOWEVER
At 10:40 of this video, if you omit the second j.H of that loop and simply do launcher j.H adf j,M xx Fly LMH [adf H] xN, it works perfectly fine from full screen.

Alot of Mags players seem to be going from launcher into j.M j.H addf j.M as well, maybe this stabilizes the combo better. All is well with the world again, guys. I’ve finally converted to the opinion that he’ll be as strong if not stronger as an individual character in Ultimate, not counting the monstrous DHC glitch capabilities that the game has omitted. That Attraction at 15:10 is lulzy.

His magnetism moves basically make most diagonal zoning moves useless against Magneto. ie. Wesker’s gun, Akuma’s air Go Hadou, etc. Also pairing Magneto with a beam assist like Ironman or Doom sounds incredibly funny to play. Repulsor/Disruptor/Unibeam all fucking day.
Zero-Ryuejin/Magneto-EM Disruptor/Doctor Doom-Plasma Beam sounds like a legit team.
His ADDF definitely seems faster than it was in the first few videos of UMVC3. Maybe its a placebo effect or my eyes playing tricks on me…

They should’ve removed the hideous Mutant X color though. Nobody ever fucking uses it because it looks like shit.
Although purple/black wesker has made me rethink my decision to drop him in UMvC3. Purple/black Magneto Wesker team. Swag. Or both white. Angel swag.
They should have capeless X-Men First Class Magneto with the silver helmet and blue/yellow jump suit as DLC. I really wanna rock angel Magnus but I’m too OCD to have a non-color coordinated team.
No reason to drop Magneto if you’re comfortable with him in vanilla after you’ve seen the PAX videos. I’d be mad salty if I spent all that time learning ROM as my BnB of choice though.

I didn’t care about colors until a couple months after the game was out, now I refuse to drop/add characters on the fly to my troll team because I don’t wanna mess up the color scheme.

It’s definitely sad to see it go (at least midscreen) but for me it was too inconsistent to use as my BnB. Why should I do the ghetto ROM when I can just do a relaunch fly combo for similar damage, with a much lower chance of dropping?
ROM has swag out the ass, but even on tourney streams, nobody ever does more than 4 or 5 reps without dropping it
I’ve seen Marn and RyRy drop ROM far to many times to consider using it as my BnB. The only Magneto player who consistently lands it as his BnB without dropping is Marlinpie. It’s really sad to see RyRy nearly kill a Phoenix with a ROM only to over extend his super jump j.H and miss the connect, costing him the game. I think ROM is still possible in the corner but there’s no point in corner ROM when you could just go into Hyper Grav loops.
Capcom needs to give Sentinel a white Nimrod-esque alt.

They should drop Magneto’s forcefield assist and make attraction take its place.
