Well, I’m hoping to bring in as wide an audience as possible. It’s hard to appeal to both bases though. I certainly don’t want to risk alienating the core audience by simplifying it to much, but I don’t want to make it to complex that the average gamer, or even the average non-gamer can’t get into it.
BTW, if you guys are interested in reading more about the project, the Escapist magazine did a writeup:
I’m going to totally run this at work just to get more people interested in fighting games around my area. (I work at a mom and pop game shop, it’s pretty amazing.)

Just watched the trailer and I’m ecstatic to see what the final product looks like. I really like the trailer though because it’s real, ya know? I mean, I know it’s a documentary, but…I can really understand how some of those guys feel and can relate to the hype!
So, just keep it going in the direction you have it going in right now! We can really expect the full version to be even more GDLK in May :tup:
Fuck yes. I was so heartbroken when Bang the Machine didn’t come out. Donkey Kong gets its own doc, but SF is left in the wind? That tore me up man.
This can definitely make up for it. I still wish I saw more about the oldschool era of SF and it’s history, but this goes perfect with SF4 and the new fighter resurgence. This documentary looks like a capstone for the beginning of a new era.
Seriously looking forward to this.
