Right, but this is exactly why it’s fixable. They just need to change how your client is communicating with the server! There are many other games running matchmaking/online infrastructure of this type, so it’s just a shit implementation. I would be astonished if they didn’t significantly improve it within the first year.
It does take a long ass time between fights. I think it’s longer for us in Oz due to crappy net. But seriously it can take about a min to go from new challenger screen to the fight. After completing the fight and returning to the previous mode it takes heaps longer… I think it’s due to uploading results, then downloading updated zenny and whatnot.
Agreed with battle lounge but there are two problems with that as well. First, the rematches still take about 10-15 seconds to load. Second, and most annoying, is the fact that you can’t filter by region. As a midwest US player anyone outside of North America is unplayable unless you enjoy SlideShow Fighter.
I really don’t have a beef with my ps4’s loading times. I also don’t sit and stare at my tv waiting for casuals/ranked searches to take place; and I dont pick up my controller until I hear the stage music start.
What i dont understand are players that come into my room with 1 bar connections and they still wanna play like we offline. Like WTF is up with that? Its mainly PC players too, bunch of dummies over there.
Somethings wrong with your system if loading times are a problem unless 5-10 seconds is too much but this is gamers we are talking about so that’s probably it…facepalm, you know alot of the long wait (lol) is CONNECTING to a player ONLINE also.
I’m curious to why the “New Challenger” interruption event doesn’t occur during the VS screen or even in the character select screen. The older Tekken games didn’t allow the option to interrupt during VS screen, but outside of that, most SF games had the option to interrupt during the VS screen. It just makes the process of getting a match take longer than one would expect.
