Lol you are commiting fully everytime you do that move, every followup and the move itself loses to 5h or 6h, that move is a death sentence in the matchup vs someone competent. Then again to be fair he doesnt actually have any options in the first place.

It has it’s uses in 1 v 1 against non-xf vergil…but honestly…how often does that ever happen.

If he’s XF’d or has meter or has some hori assist that doesn’t lose to UB or c.H you’re pretty much fucked. (so you’re always fucked, is what I’m saying.)

I’m assuming that you have saved IM to the end and have meter/X factor to Iron Avenger, XF his ass. Vergil can’t cancel whiffs.

5h is a 10 frame move you can not react to that shit. It straight up cuts the missile.

I meant Vergil reacting to the slow ass missile. The startup of the missile is even longer than it seems because it has to travel far enough to reach Vergil whereas him, not so much.

Doesn’t help that all of IM’s specials are projectiles, lol.

I was responding to the guy who suggested doing x factor. Anyhow the best bet in the matchup is falling with j.s on them while they have swords up as it will cleanly hit vergil before you reach the swords, if he blocks you are fucked but you dont have much else. Random level 3 is a very sadly necessary option sometimes.

Even though the SRK IronMan Forums haven’t been very active I just wanna consider is there any match-up where CR H into Fly H unfly H is really helpful because that isn’t a bad hit confirm with Drones.I was thinking it might be really helpful in the haggar match-up

I use Cr.H to zone cancel into unibeam, assist call, repulsar blast and bait for superjump confirm with the help of assist. Fly H unfly H on the ground seems good in theory but in practice not so much imo although bunny hop H variation I found to be a more useful zoning tool and keep away.

Also I have recently Realized its better to do TK unibeam against big bodies it really makes it super hard for them to get in like I never really try to do Ground Zoning against hulk way more dangerous but TK unibeam make it hard for him to hop soo he has to try to jump which is what IronMan wants

One extremely good tool I have never seen any Iron man use is JH, Ju+h or JD.H x into unibeam or smart bomb then back out or go in with air dash air m or cr.l/st.l very good against selective characters like sentinel, spider man putting normal and projectile in the way.

One match-up I feel is extremely hard for IronMan is Thor like it seems like you gotta get a lucky hit because soo many of his stuff blows up the things that make IronMan Viable aka Repulsor blast,Air Smart Bomb ect.

I play both and I would agree that Thor has the advantage.

Iron man can however hit Thor out of charging Mighty Strikes with j.h if they’re sloppy and he’s well equipped to hit Thor out of the air at sj height for a full convert as well.

Keep the specials to a minimum and stick to sj add h to dictate the match. H is your best friend in this match because you can make Thor uncomfortable at the range where he normally excels.

Remember that Thor is absolutely awful up close so if you can get close, things get much easier.

What’s the general gameplan now with IM in neutral now? Assume that I’m running him second with log trap behind that, I can’t seem to figure out a good plan for him. Some players I see do SJ smartbombs -> ADD j.S or some combination of that. Am I supposed to turtle them out in the air until they come close? And at that time Doom or Magneto will either tridash underneath me and there’s nothing I can do at that point. What do you guys usually do?
