Ashur is a bitch. I’d likened to see his legs parted from his upper torso.

He’s one of my favourite characters. He’s extremely smart, cunning, and manipulative. He’s been kicking the fucking Hell out of everyone since day 1 without even needing to raise a fist. Also, he was a good gladiator until Crixus stabbed him in the leg. Now he’s making Crixus (and his bitch) his bitch. Good for him I say.

Actually, there was. In the episode when he finally had his leg brace removed and was eager to rejoin his brothers, Dominus stopped him. Ashur pleaded with him, recounting some of his victories in the arena. “How the crowd roared when I severed his head…” etc etc. Also, he once told Spartacus to be careful when fighting with Crixus against Theocolease and said the Gaul was responsible for his condition.

I didn’t like the fact that Ashur was solely responsible for Barca’s death. Ashur obviously wanted Spartacus to turn on Crixus during the joint fight against Theocolease. I thought Ashur said it was Crixus that was responsible for giving him that fucked up leg? Varro went down in the shittiest of ways, btw. I wish Batiatus would’ve said no or dissuaded that senator, somehow. =/

Then you’re pretty good at what you do. Most guys go in there and need to be dragged out. No champion of Capua, but he was deeply resentful when he couldn’t go back to fighting and winning the crowd the way he used to.

I still don’t see the allure of Mira. She’s not that hot IMO, and she’s damn annoying. Sura was way better, but we all know how that ended.

I like Aurelia a lot too. Storywise it would be way more interesting for her and Sparty to start something due to his conflictions over being “obligated” to protect her.

[details=Spoiler]- “Kill Them All”, indeed. They took no fucking prisoners…and it was one of the most amazing 20 minutes of TV I’ve seen in recent memory.

• That little bastard Numerius got his at the hands of Aurelia, after she realized that Sparty didn’t in fact want to kill Varro and that asshole ordered it. I officially love her.
• Crixus shanks Lucretia, but I have the feeling she might survive, since she wasn’t shown stone cold dead like everyone else was at the end.
• Of course, Sparty kills Batiatus, and in GRAND fashion, in front of his dying wife. “Tell her that the gods themselves cannot keep you apart…lie to her as you had me lie to my wife!” throat gets fucking cleaved :tup:
• “Doctore”, or should I say Onamaeous (his actual name, as revealed) almost gets Ashur but he slips away.[/details]

That shit was amazing. Can’t wait for season 2, hope Andy Whitfield has a speedy recovery.

1 of the best shows in the business! Only discovered it 2 weeks ago and watched episode 1 to 11 in a couple days So sad when the good times were over.
