You can do that cross up Tatsu corner trick directly into Ultra 1 as well

cr.MK Kara Throw is essential to learn. You can kara throw after 3 blocked cr.LPs. That’s actually insane

Wait, so you’re saying people can actually get the cr.mk kara throw 100% down? I found it harder than Yun’s kara palm, until now the hardest kara in the game to me, so I dismissed it as “impractical”. But if you’re saying that someone out there in the world got it down I’ll have to put the time into it.

I went from 1 in 20 to 50% in 2 hours tonight. So I am sure it is possible to get it down perfectly over a couple of weeks.

Cross up Tatsu on wake up doesn’t work vs Fei whic is annoying. I’ll test the cast out now whilst I’m not doing anything

Answering my own question now that we got frame data. 21 frames of hitstun from axe kick LK, assuming his dash is 18 frames like Ryu’s, it’s +3 on hit, -4 on block. Hopefully I did the math correctly.

I’m not sure a video would help much. You can do the f+mk kara throw, right? Start from crouching, do the same button inputs, but let go of down in between pressing mk and lp+lk.

It’s definately usable in matches. It does seem extremely hard at first, but after practicing it, I turned on training mode today and did it the first 5 or 6 times i tried. Landed a few in matches later. Many thanks to Rizhall for finding this. Can actually use it for everything Ken uses his f+mk kara cancel for. Throw, focus, dp, fireball. I should probably try axe kick next.

I’m still practicing it, but my consistency is like at 20-30%. But even when I land it, I’m concentrating a lot on my timing, which is something you shouldn’t be doing in actual matches. So for right now I just can’t make use of it. I’ll keep it up but man I feel like this is something that I will never get the hang of.

It is so effective, I would recommend spending a full day in Training Mode getting it in your muscle memory.

like I said it works with ultra 2 aswell, w/o animation. Im not sure right now but I think it does 40 or 80 less damage than the ultra 1.

Question: This is one of my matches, well rounds. Was there anything I could’ve done better? I did horrible? Anything?

00:07 - The cr.MK xx HK AK was a success but you’re open for so long before it hits. If it’s something you do regularly then you should probably use it sparingly. But you didn’t have a setup ready to use after it anyhow so that an obvious thing to work on.

00:13 - Wakeup DP that you didn’t make safe, nuff said.

00:18 - After the j.MP juggle, red fireball would have made sense. Instead you used fwd.MK xx Super, which I’m guessing was a mistake, and he should have Ultra’d. Did you think he was going to be reset when he landed so you went for Kara-Demon?

Why would I FADC a wakeup DP that fully connected? That seems like a waste of meter.

Yeah, I figured he would be reset after the kick.

If it were blocked, you wouldn’t have time to react and FADC it. HP dp is so close to being able to block confirm, but just not quite. Can only block confirm his ex dp. You were also sitting on almost 4 meters. What did you save it for? A failed kara demon(if he knew better, he’d have held up and punished you).

Couple tips for posting vids…post stuff of you losing. It’s hard on the ego, but it’s a lot easier to see what mistakes you’re making. Also, the quality doesn’t have to be amazing. Don’t need to use fraps. As long as it’s steady and watchable, you’re good. I just set my digital camera on a stack of books and record the monitor.
