um man what u need to do is wait untill he is close with the hundred hand slaps and hp headbutt through and hit him. balrogs smashing throw has bad priority compaired to other throws so watch out if you got thrown and he does hundred hands block or reversal but i say block just keep chipping him away with dashing punches and hitting em with it 2 :tup: maybe u can use c.mp to hit his hundred hands im not sure
learn his double dash think hold 3k for like 1sec let go so it lands while hes getting up while holding back then do dashing punch when it finishes :karate:
pretty sure jump back and hk did the trick for ryu ken and guile
I think I finally out figured how to hit Honda out of HHS with a normal. You need to do a normal with enough stoping power to hit him out like strongs or forward (jabs and shorts sometimes work but I wouldn’t recommend it) and hit him not so deep while he is doing a HHS. Some characters are better equiped for the job. The shoto’s crouching strong does not go to far in so the HHS shouldn’t hit them. Fei Long’s standing fierce if far enough should always win against the HHS. I still got to test it some more, but this move has pissed me off since I was a little kid and I will be damned if I don’t figure out a way to beat it.
Also characters with shorter reaching normals usually have the advantage over the HHS. Balrog for instance who I’m trying to play right now, has to long of reach. So when you attack the hits will usually either trade (doesn’t happen to often.) or you get hit (very dangerous if in the corner because it leaves you in a bad spot and Balrog can’t really jump to well.).
I will probably make a table for each character and all there versions but it will probably take a day or two. I will also try this on Chun Li too and see what normals knock her out of her lightning kick special move.
knock Chun out of her lightning kick? hmm, good luck… i think only jumping moves would work because from what i’ve seen, her entire kicking leg can’t be hit. neither could Honda’s arm in WW during HHS. in CE and later, Honda’s hands could be hit back, but Chun’s kicking leg is invincible. try throwing a fireball and watch how far it has to go… i mean, i guess maybe Sim has something that would hit it but i dunno, and everyone else could only hope to trade with a ground normal, i’d think.
