So I had a HRAP for the the ps2 (mirror top with green buttons) laying around and wanted to see if Happ parts fit since the TE doesn’t.
Turns out the buttons fit with no modification to the case. Also the stick will fit using the current welded mounting brackets. The stick base will need to be shaved and the shaft cut shorter in order to get to a standard height but no mod to the top plate.
I searched everywhere and can’t find any info regarding HRAPs being modding with Happ parts. I certainly can’t be the only person wanting Happ parts in a Japanese style stick.
If anyone has experience with this type of mod sharing would be appreciated.
I’ll post pictures of my mod once the shaft is cut down to size.
You could be the first, Most people who want a happ arcade stick just goes with a DIY or custom case.
I figured if modder try to put Happ parts in TE’s with little success HRAP would be a great alternative.
They are cheap and easy to get.
Considering HRAP been around for so long I am surprised that I could not find any Happ mods.

Is that a stock top plate? How did you mount the stick?
Yes the plate is stock. For the ps3 version you have to trim the mount on the Happ base. For the shaft I set it to the shortest position then cut the shaft and the actuator. If you use the comp style stick the plastic under the bottom plate needs shaved. I did one with a super style stick as well and over all that fit better I feel.
