Then how do I connect a 2nd PS3 stick to it for local play? When I go to options it only lets me select a P1 legacy controller and P2 is always greyed out. Is there a way to sign in as guest using only one PS4 controller?
Actually i was wrong, early reports indicated you only needed one controller to get to the auth menu, but it seems Capcom completely screwed this up. Lets hope they fix their implementation of LZs driver, because theres no reason it should require 2 controllers, not to mention the lag…
Another thing worth mentioning is that if you turn off your controller (or let it auto shut-off) you have to re-authenticate your stick again. So may want to leave it plugged in or turn off the automatic shut-off. This means leaving your current mode and going back to the menu to re-authenticate. Pretty annoying seeing as there’s only two USB slots on the PS4 I use one for my headset and one for my stick.
Also, my Hori Fighting Edge for PS3 works on here with no issues, in case anyone else has one and is wondering.
Can you tell me step by step what you’re doing to get it to work? My QanBa is switched to PS3 mode, I have two controllers in, nothing. All the red numbers light up but it doesn’t switch to that stick.
I’ve been hearing some things about problems with input delay and side detection, which is why it’s currently going to be banned from EVO.
There is maybe some input delay when you use 2 PS3 sticks since since you also have to use 2 dualshocks which are wireless and may then be subject to interference.
I tested the input delay with my Madcatz TE2 (PS4 mode) and Qanba Q4RAF (PS3 mode):
I have no noticeable input delay.
I tried to press buttons at the same time. I know it’s not a proper way to test input lag, but if there was high input lag, I wouldn’t have so many trades.
My Qanba Q2 Glow is working, but for some reason square is mapped to circle, circle is mapped to square, R1 is mapped to L1, and R2 is mapped to L2. Anyone know why? This was the first stick LZ tested so I’m surprised the buttons are weird.
Yep, the thing is, according to the guy who developed the driver, theres no reason why we should need a ds 4 to be connected, and theres no reason for there to be lag. Capcom just didnt follow guidelines.
yea my friend just called me and said he had the same problem with his saturn pads, also tried a pelican convertor with a ps2 saturn pad and same thing… How the fuck does this game have so many problems with a controller after being in development for so long? lol
I have an old custom PS2 stick with a ps3 converter and it doesn’t work. I also tried a plain dual shock 3 and that doesn’t work either. Anyone have some suggestions? Would a ps2 to ps4 adapter solve my problem or are they just going to block support completely?
i’ve been trying to connect my Qanba Q4 all night without success.
when i hit the legacy option and plug in my stick, nothing happens. all 4 lights of my Q4 are blinking.
i press “home” on the stick and a message pops out saying that it does NOT support PS3 Wireless controllers, which I don’t understand since both are physically connected to the Ps4.
