haha thx that makes alot of sense. And correct I have almost zero confidence at the start of the match. It’s like rock, paper, sicissors.
J. jp sound’s promising though, have to give it a try.

I wouldn’t count on it. The ground dash is actually vulnerable at its opening and ending frames for BH’s full standing position (which means you can’t dash on reaction to AHVBs) and for extra frames in a crouching position. It’s good for tricks, but it’s not something you can build a strategy around.

Only ground dash if they super jump or when you call drones (or such) against someone that is NOT Cable. Ground dash against cable only works if he screws up an AHVB and winds up being a bit too high. The ground dash is actually kinda useful when used in conjunction with drones and FP demons (they’ll track you somewhat as you’re underground so it can set up crossup games.

Real talk tho…Fuck Marvel…Magnus makes this game ASS!!

@ the start of my matches i usually do c.lp, it beats most characters in the game but magneto. Even without the switch glitch, he is faster than Blackheart. When fighting magneto, at the start of the match just block down, 80% of the time they’ll start with a c.lk. But if you want to really make sure that they start with the c.lk, act like you going to do the switch glitch with BH. Then just pushblock when he does the c.lk, always works for me. It gives me space to start my fierce demon blockade, and annoy the hell out of those infinite happy bastards.

Jumping straight up and blocking is the best opening move vs. Magneto.

I can’t see how. Before you jump, you go into standing frame. Which means your not blocking low. c.lk Bait, right?

If you jump straight up, they cannot hit you low. Jumping forward or backward leaves you open for a frame, but jumping up does not. The tricky part is blocking immediately after.

Mag can stop jumping up with s.lp + assist, c.mk, into whatever from there so he still has the mind game factor in his favor. Mag owns everyone on intro except himself.

This is true, but it doesn’t change that jump up is BH’s best move. It is a 50/50 shot, and most Mags players don’t employ a strategy that makes their assist vulnerable unless they are certain it will connect.

Everyone but sentinel

well against mags, like i said before, there isn’t much BH can do against him at intro. in fact that’s were blackheart usually gets creamed, because of the intro. You are better of by blocking, learn how to push block well, and you’ll be able to keep mags at bay. I’ve seen justing wong beat magnetos with cable, just by constantly push blocking when ever he gets hit by mags. Remember push blocking is the key to a great BlackHeart.

I’m going to bump the combo thread in a few minutes with some new things that I’ve found. Check it out.

EDIT:

Does anyone have any new guard breaks or anything? Only one I’ve found were call assist, j. fp. It works good with Mag-a, Doom-b and Sent-y, but it’s hard to time anywhere but near the corner.

And also Mag/BH/Sent is AMAZING.

Yeah, he’s right! If your so “HOT” with BH, teach us so that we can benefit from it too. Don’t be stingy and just go around telling us how your BH is better than ours. And No, I don’t rely on his infinite much cuz its B.S and I dont play with Low Blows like that.

This thread is just to let you know if you should refer to the other BH thread that’s stickied

guys BH is a non-combo char.,meaning that to make your blackheart better, combos or how to do this and that will not help you. Just play the guy, feel him out, then do your own shit!!!

use this thread as a reference of other players who tryed diff. stuff with BH and how it went for them. if you think is good try to do it if its not then dont…is simple really.

im trying to make myself a decent black heart but i keep getting owned by Icemen … i can say that yes i suck at mvc2 and for some reason iceman gives me just as many problems as a Sent/Mags

i feel ur pain.

but rushdown iceman. he takes damage like a bitch. with a decent anti air one hit can lead to icemans death

imo bh’s that can do a lot more than jumpy demons and inferno xx hod are much much worse. Those that suprise with a quick rushdown and actually CAN combo are more scary by far.

@lovepig
-> We gonna have some low tier throw down on psn sometime? Always like 2am when I try to invite you I know…

The biggest thing is to say outside of his ice beams. There’s only so many ways that he can hit you. Avoid them while building meter and looking to peg him with a RH demon. If you hit him with one while he’s in the air you should be able to (learn to) capitalize and make him hurt. Iceman’s keep away game is crappy without assists. The fact that he does take chip from stuff doesn’t change that. So bait assist and punish with a counter call to inferno to Judgement Day super. I believe those still chip him by the way.

Good Iceman is a problem for Blackheart because his standing icebeam upwards goes on the same path as Blackheart’s hk demons. Also, chipping wars vs Iceman usually aren’t to Blackheart’s benefit. The only Super BH has that inflicts guard damage is the judgement day [air or ground. Modern Blackheart today isn’t as bothered by this, as you can simply move in on him, and rape him with rushdown. He may have took away some of your chipping game, but your DHCs are usually going to be more ruthless than his, so that’s the key. The most damage he can do to you if he manages to hit you is 50%. The most you can do is 90%, and sometimes even more depending on the assists and DHCs you carry. He has to do all his damage slowly. You just ignore that fact and do it all at once.

IF Iceman jumps back, superjump hk, dash forwards, block. If he superjumps, ground dash, or sj airdash quickly. Then sj up and attack him. Sometimes waiting till he’s almost in the perfect position to icebeam, then superjumping will trick him into firing the wrong icebeam and he eats a hk for his troubles. When that happens, Iceman dies.

Blackheartking is also right too on all counts [except the armageddon for chhip vs Iceman…].

Follow the same thinking and concepts Blackheartking put forwards, but keep in mind what I’ve said here as an adenda. That’s the best way to take him out.
