I installed it just as the OP said, but when I go into device manager and try to install the driver, XBCD driver isn’t one of the options of drivers to install. All it gives me are “Xbox 360 Controller for Windows Version: 2.1.0.1011” and “XBOX 360 Controller for Windows Version: 6.0.6001”
I still dont get it… Ive followed every single direction to the T and still nothing is working. I installed the drivers, edited the inf, everything i mean it works good with console emus but not the arcade emus plx help me. TY
I’ve done everything that this thread suggests and nothing works. Windows recognizes the controller, and the LEDs around the XBOX button are lighting up as though I’m the first player, however, when I open All Programs in the Start menu the program still says it’s XBCD, not XBCD 360. When I installed the driver in device manager, it said read as “XBCD Xbox 360 Gamepad”. When I enter setup for the controller, the only face buttons that are recognized are LT and RT. They register as A and B respectively. Start and Back register fine, but all the others are dead. Any help would be appreciated.
anyone on vista 32 bit SP1 get an error saying that it recognizes the driver but it couldn’t start it properly…code 10?
hmm so the reason that it won’t install correctly is b/c of the inf file being edited (works ok if I don’t edit it).
I put this under …
Windows 98/ME/2000/XP
[DeviceList] after
; RedOctane Ignition Pad
"%XBCD_360.DeviceDesc% =Install, USB\VID_0F0D&PID_000D ; HORI FighterStickEX2"
I’m still having trouble getting this to work with vista. the setup utility doesnt read my controller, and the inf file doesnt save. restarting my computer didnt help anything either. Anyone know what to do? it seems my stick works on everything except mame.
you have to save the inf file somewhere else first, like your desktop or something, then move it to the inf folder. also, make sure its labeled as what the computer recognized it as when you installed it, which mine it says fightingstickex2, so thats whats in my xbcd inf. thats it. other than that you can follow the XP guide exactly. Thank god I can finally play DoDonPachi with a stick now!
Im actually having a wierd problem. When i use my stick on ggpo everything is fine. the problem is if i try a program like neorage my joystick seems to be stuck in the up position. And when i try to set my controls up overrides everything. I dont have this problem with ggpo.
I dont get what im doing wrong, I tried to do this setup on my XP, and when I actually ry to go to device manager and update the driver, it’ll say that it cannot start and give me a code 10. DOES anyone know why the heck this is happening?!?!?!?!?!??!
Only problem with following the XP Driver guide is that XBCD doesn’t show up at all, just some files from 8/26/2008 and 6/21/2006, installed XBCD and followed the vista guide and nothing after reboot. the setup utility won’t allow anything to do with it.
