I had this problem trying to update the wrong device, should be something under the human interfaces under your device manager rather than game controller section or whevever it is you’re probably trying to update, assuming you’re using xp. Dont know, give it a shot anyway.
I am having the same problem as Diet SNK with Lime.
I’m on XP, and have editted the inf file as per the instructions on the 1st post.
The error I get comes in the last part, after I selected the “XBCD Driver” and windows start to copy the driver, and pops an error message that “File not found”…hence I am unable to even recognise the EX2 stick in the setup utility.
I even posted in this thread:
http://www.theworldismeh.com/2007/09/25/how-to-configure-a-hori-xbox-360-fighting-stick-ex2-for-use-in-windows/
and just hope that someone can help us…
OK, I managed to get it to work.
My solution is:
simply restart your computer after install. It must be something to do with the system cache or something, but when I was just about the give up, the driver update worked (after my restart).
Good luck to those who also have the same problem as me.
Set your LT and RT button to the button numbers that are under 10, for some reason, these programs don’t accept buttons that are more than 10.
THANKS! I didn’t know anything about that. Glad it finally works now but I’ll still probably use my hrap2 since it already has sanwa buttons and has no probs. with the adapter I got.
I know this is how to make it work on Windows thread, but has anybody had sucess makin it work on OSX?
Odd people have had problems. Mine was plug and play after microsoft installed drivers for a wired 360 remote.
I finally got this working in MAME, but only the joystick seems to work. None of the buttons on the EX2 do anything. There is a difference between the “XBCD setup” and the “XBCD setup 360.” I think everything is working correctly:

the XBCD setup is only recognizing the LT and RT under these buttons:
How does this stick work in ubuntu?
As you can see, the Setup Utility 360 works perfectly, but the plain “Set Up Utility” only has the LT and RT buttons working for buttons A and B and the joystick. How do I get MAME to recognize the 360 setup and not the plain setup, because as of right now, MAME only recognizes the joystick and not the buttons.
I have been trying for hours to get this to work and it still doesn’t. I have no idea what to do and it’s been over two weeks.
hi!
is there a way to make the ps2/xbox Street Fighter?s 15th Anniversarywork on Pc? cos the Pc recognices the device but not the stick…
I did this and I still keep getting multiple errors. can anyone that has this working on vista please send me their file that is working? like over a file hosting site or through windows live messanger? I would deeply appreciate it. PM me please :wonder:
I got my Virtua Fighter 5 arcade hori Stick today and I didnt need to do any of that . just plugged the hori SUB into my pc windows recognices the device - download files from internet and it works fine under Mame Final burn GGPO kawaks .
GREAT Stick.
bump.
Basik, have you tried the stick with nFBA with the default drivers? That should actually work fine, it won’t work right on MAME or doujin fighters but it should at least work on nFBA.
Incidentally, the hosting and domain reg for theworldismeh.com expires in 2 days, I’ve decided not to renew since I don’t really post ever, so the guide is going to disappear.
I followed the directions perfectly on Vista, and I got the drivers and whatnot to work properly, but… for some reason my LT and RT don’t work, even though I’ve tried all the profiles out there. Any idea of what’s going on?
Edit: Nevermind, I need to pay more attention.
I’ve just bought the VF stick.
Cant even get the stick working because I have windows XP64.
In the part where you must update driver, nothing is listed. When I try to run the utility 360 software it crashes immediately with a dll error
“Error loading XBCDSU360.dll The specified module could not be found”
I’ve had to install windows XP and it works perfectly on it. But I would rather use xp64. Anyone got any ideas how to fix the problem
Using sandard drivers mine works fine with FBA/ Mame. But can’t get it to work with neorage: butons are fine bu when I try to config the directions its like the stick is always pressing up. any ideas?
I just wanted to express my undying love for this thread. I just picked up the EX2 stick a few weeks back, and with this guide, I was FINALLY able to enjoy Killer Instinct with U64Emu and an arcade stick. It made my day…
And it’s sick how much I remember from that game…I was able to remember Orchid’s Flasher Fatality right off the bat…as well as some 10+ hit combos. Damn i loved that game, flawed as it was.
