How to deal with Run away / trap teams?

We go back and forth. I wish I had a camera, because we have a lot of skilled ppl that play MVC2 and SF3. I think him and I are the only ones wih unique teams besides this one guy who uses Cap America, Cyke and Capcom. (I hate fighting him because all he does is block and counter, so I gotta run trap with Doom)

That guys uses a pretty shitty assist. (i’m sorry, I’ve never found a use for Jin exp) It souldn’t be that hard to counter.

u should try dalsim (AAA) bison(proj.) doom(Sprinkle)…nice trap team

and this one of my favorites Rubyheart (AAA) Doom(rocks) Cyclops(AAA)

i have another semi lock down team…Spidey(AAA) juggz(variety,the belly flop i believe) and (doom sprinkle)

Spiral (on point) Iceman (projectile) and doom (rocks) is a nasty one to.

I’m actually pretty good. I’m just not that well versus people of a god tier tourney level.

Well, based on your posts, in all honesty, you sound like beginer.

Cable works the best of those characters with that assist.

i agree if you dont kno what to choose…choose cable he’ll never lead you wrong…imma let you kno now people are gonna down talk you just cuz you play wit cable…but thats because they cant beat you…ur makin them think…which is what they dont want…at my arcade me and my budz r known for cheap as godtier squads and people hate it…but in the end i take the game a tad bit mo serious than them sooooo they’ll get ova it

Still hanging on to Charlie. If I play versus the big heads, i use Charle /Cable/ Sent. Otherwise I still use Charlie with Capcom and Doom. A few more questions if Ya’ll don’t mind…

Capcom or Cyke with Charlie and Doom? Also, which would be better if i switched out Doom for Storm ( I plan on getting rid of Doom for her anyways…)

Storm is awesome with cyke and Capcom.

A landing corrider is a free hail storm and cyke gives her some pretty sick combo options. (including free hail storm)

But I think Doom is better for charlie overall. IMO, with charlie, you need to stay close to the ground and cover it. Doom helps him do that better IMO because the rocks stay on screen longer than the typhoon. I don’t play charlie, so maybe I somebody else can tell you better than I can, but I’m pretty sure doom and charlie can fill the screen with shit and become thier own little projectile pressure team. And if you manage to play a rolling mind game, you can actually OTG somebody with Doom’s rocks and hit them with a sonic blade.

Storm helps him as well, and overall forces the opponent to play smarter. But it doesn’t really fit with charlie’s speed like it does with characters like mag. If you land it up close, that’s basically a free combo of your choice or a snapout if timed right.

as far as other stuff goes, Akuma exp is good for characters with launchers with lousy horizontal range (like charlie) but I doubt you want to use him, because in intermidiate play he gets hit twice and dies.

The only thing Charlie can do with CapCom that I can think of is landing somersault justice and getting rushers off his nuts. Hope all this helps.

I commend you for sticking with charlie. Makes me think of when alot of people were trying to talk me out of using Jill.
