I received the materials over the weekend and I wasn’t disappointed with the quality of the foam. It isn’t the same type of foam as the magnets like I thought! This is very similar to the lining on a lot of drawers/cabinets to reduce echo.
I’m a bit short on time so I’ll just quickly write my steps:
[] Remove Metal Bottom and rubber feet.
[] Cut off one edge of the foam; preferably on carpet with a hobby knife.
[] Line the top and bottom edges of the FOAM with double sided tape and peel back a small corner.
[] Line the foam on the top of the metal plate and pull the rest of the tape cover off. The foam will fall where you lined it up.
[] Repeat with the bottom edge after flattening it out.
[] Cut as needed.
I’ve attached a small album to show what it looks like. Works extremely well on lap and table. Foam isn’t plush enough to tear, but is prone to marking. I’m hoping if I’m careful with it, it won’t deteriorate too quickly. Also water resistant.
