I hate these threads that make me face reality, but it looks like I got off light.
-Street Figher 4 XBox 360: $70
-Street Fighter 4 PS3 (since i realized how much I disliek it on xbox): $70 Cdn
-Used PS3 To play it on (since I didn’t have a reason to buy one at the time until now): $379
-PS3 Tournament Stick: $190
well, let see… mine’s going to look like chump change compared to that total… I guess everyone’s total in this thread looks like chump change to that total…
anway, let see.
1 copy of CE SF IV $80
2 x TE $300
1 distroyed arcade stick out of frustration of loosing too close of games in a row.
(luckly I was using the cheapy Hori Tekken anniversary stick at the time)
and yes, I need anger management. haha.
so, add another $60? I forget how much this thing was…
costume pack $4 (just got the alt. for the ladies)
that’s all I can remember this late night/early morning.
so $444 or so…
oh wait, took some time off from work when SF IV first ht… so add another grand or so roughly to that total.
around $1500… ouch, but not so “ouch” as giley… yo giley, mad props man. you threw down. big papa.
Parts for a new PC - $950 plus shipping
PC SF4 - $40
360 TE fightstick - $125 ( buy.com had them really cheap, free shipping too )
Although I can’t really say the PC was for sf4 specifically, it’s what I primarily play on it. I opted out of getting a console for a more expensive alternative, but I don’t feel bad about it because consoles are pretty 1-dimensional even if they do have some PC capabilities. Point is I play lots of games on PC and not many on consoles so the choice made sense.
Well i spend alot too… but luckily this is those game i play OVER and OVER…
PS3 game… $80 because i got the collector edition…
Sanwan part… $50ish. 6 buttons and a Batstick
Artpiece (free)+ acrylic cover piece… $20…
TE Fight Stick $200 because i got the bundle right off of MadCatz… include poster, something to put the fightstick on top, skin for the controller, and skin for the ps3…
i bought another TE Fight Stick hoping someone would buy it off me on ebay for $400 because back then it was WANTED… like badly… well i ended up selling it for $170… so i lost $30
80 + 50 + 20 + 200 + 30 = $380!!! but i still play it
oh forgot… i got most of the costume packs… except 1 pack… so include that in too -_-
i blame YOU guys for doing this >.< convincing me to buy the TE stick… lol… 3-4 month now since i buy it… and im still better at using the ps3 controller than the TE… I just can’t get the movement down fast enough with that TE stick… >.<
its not worth the $200 i got that’s all i’m saying >.< i like that stick though…
im waiting for BlazBlue to come down heheheheheeeee
Well I had to buy sf4 for the 360 twice. >_< The disc got scratched up.
So that is about 100$ right there…
I also bought a SF binder for 10$.
So yeah, I guess I spent a lot of money on Sf.
I still need to buy a stick. I will probably be spending about 250/300$ for a nice arcade in the box stick, modded for 360&ps3. Plus my own art design.
I just bought the game for the PC, because it’s by far the cheapest version here. I’m considering buying/making my own stick in the future if I notice that the PC community actually has a future.
I wouldn’t mind spending some money on the arcade version, but I’ve never seen it. Arcades here are dead, they just don’t know it yet, it’s a shame.
Triumvir Guile shirt
TE 360 Stick
360 version of SF4
A little over $250.
Oh and I bought a laptop for school, but the thing that pushed me from “wanting a laptop” to “getting a laptop” is the PC version of SF4, but I’m not going to count that just for my own sanity.
SFIV for PS3 ($40)
Madcatz SE ($70)
Wii Fighting stick coverted to PS3 ($35)
Cthulu board ($40)
Sanwa joystick/buttons for both sticks ($90+)
Misc parts/tools for conversion ($20+)
so $295 just for my stuff.
I also bought SFIV (360) for my brother on his birthday ($60). I made a few joysticks from some used/new madcatz 360 gamepads, scrap wood/shadow boxes, and some spare happ/x-gaming buttons and joysticks ($50+) for him and my cousin.
so grand total is roughly $405
I used to collect arcade machines and spent alot of money buying used cabinets, jamma boards, and misc woodworking and electronic equipment to fix and maintain everything (hehe I have/had SF2, SF2:CE, KI, MKII, and SamShoII among my fighting games). I don’t think I ever want to calculate the total amount of money I’ve spent on video games over the years…
