I saw this and it pretty much secured my suspicions about the input lag I was feeling on PC SF 5… I play on PS4 version and I can notice the difference. Both versions feel laggy though but PC version (on my old PC atleast) is unplayable for me.
I opened my hori kai recently and when I look in, the pcb number is “1.1” “1535”, the Teyah’s twiter contain the “1.0” and “1502” https://twitter.com/TeyahDL/status/625415116146651136 and I suppose this is the version of the test
Is possible that my pcb (and of the other people) is not too laggy because is a revision of the original pcb? According to @Darksakul , the revisions of TE had different inputs lag, I suppose this affect all of the pcbs test, Right?..
May have, I can’t confirm or denied this.
I think its worth considering as sticks are known to have multiple versions or revisions of a board.
Some boards are more or less reliable, some early versions of some boards die early.
Has anyone tested the drivers in SF5 with a ps3 stick on ps4? Do they cause any issues? Random disconnects, weird lag, whatever? My buddy said that ps3 sticks aren’t tournament legal so I’m trying to figure out why that is.
I wanted to buy a Rap4 Kai but now I am concerned. Is this a problem? I’m currently using a madcatz SFxT 360 stick. I need a PS4 stick but I didn’t want madcatz anymore, I wanted the Hori buttons and JLF variance. What do?
The Parts used does not change any latency.
Only thing that would matter is the PCB inside, not the joystick, buttons, or what ever brand name on the outside.
So does anyone have any input on this? Browsing the web (reddit for whatever thats worth) says input lag, dropped inputs, disconnects, ect. I’d be interested in hearing from someone who’s actually tested it.
To be honest, at first I thought the research was interesting and worth considering. But the different models of PCBs is a real issue. Nobody can deny that.
Insofar that it tells you what lags like a bitch, yes. For the most part, no. It’s fun stuff to know, and something to look out for if your candidates for a new stick satisfy other needs first, but people blow the importance of the lag out of all proportion.
