How much does your arcade stick lag? Arcade stick input lag testing & results thread

@Moonchilde @Tensho: Not so soon I spent quite a fortune on it

is the qanba q4raf black verion guaranteed to have the low input lag PCB? just want to make sure. otherwise Omni stick with paewang PCB seems more like a sure thing.

The difference in lag between the two is so marginal you won’t notice. Get which one you prefer.

I play on PS3 according to the list Qanba Q4, red, white and blue is 13ms more than the black Q4Raf. because of this… I am mainly interest in the black one but I want to make sure that it doesn’t have a different version of the PCB on the black model.

I got a question: So (for example) the paewang is better on 360 than ps3. If I hook it into my PC on 360 mode will it be better than on ps3 mode? I know there isn’t much of a difference between the two, but its just an example question - for a board that has a big difference.

I think everyone reading too much into this.

I think it has less to do with what color your Qanba Q4 is and what is the revision of the PCB.

I am not interested in the color or looks. I just to get the one with the lowest lag. so buying the black one doesn’t guarantee I am getting the original pcb?

Correct.

I want to add that the original Qanba PCB has reports on its reliability and the PCB tends to fail after a while.

Having a PCB not dying on me weighs more in my book than the “input lag”

It will be like you went from walking to flying. Where’s the ZING! button?

Exactly the answer I was looking, now time revise my buying preference:)

New ps360+ hardware config mentioned. What is it?

All new Q4’s, including black ones, use the laggier board sadly.

How much ‘laggier’ is the board? I’d bet that if its just 4-6ms its not much. I only noticed a difference because I went from nearly 16 ms to nearly 0.

the difference on xbox not much about 2ms on ps3 13ms

Nearly zero compared to the reference stick. We don’t know what the baseline is for that yet.

Remember that even the fastest possible device should clock in fairly at 1ms, since 1ms is the smallest polling window for a full speed USB device. Only high speed USB devices have polling intervals below 1ms.

This thread is turning fucking retarded.

I though the same thing six pages ago.
That why I was against this thread from the start, I knew dumb shit statements would be made.

Even the title of the thread invites the ignorant to piss in everyone’s cheerios .

@Teyah‌

Thank you!

I need to know one thing, how can i know if my ps360+ is new build or no?

My PS360+ is horrible, P Links with 2 or 3 buttons not works properly and its lag a lot compared with my TE Round 1 (X360).

thanks again teyah, I hope you can add more sticks on the list. I have suggestion how about using the stock PS3 and 360 controller as baseline? I understand that its possible some PCB might have lower input lag but that can be represented by a negative number.

The new builds aren’t on the market yet.
