After a few hours of sulking, I have eased my mind in regards to Phoenix Wright nerf.
I will still use him as a character. I just wonāt find a need to gather evidence as much.
We Phoenix Wright players just have to change our way of using him.
We have to use him AS AN ACTUAL CHARACTER. Fight with him and just find the proper time to investigate.
If we get lucky and get all 3 evidence, we shouldnāt try to go to Objection Mode as quickly as possible anymore.
The benefit of that mode has clearly changed.
Phoenix Wright players, donāt give up. Just change your way of playing him.
Here are the current positives:

[]LVL3 On Turn-About is still powerful.
[]Careful when calling him out as an assist during Turn-About now. I am guilty (no pun intended) of this as well.
[]Call out Phoenix Wright assist only when your hitting or they are guarding your attacks. It will at least contain them for you to setup.

What? Thereās more hate now than ever. From mostly the same people as before; immature children whoāre butthurt that Megaman didnāt get in.
Cause apparently everyone whoās dropping him is a fraud and everyone whoās sticking by him is a joke.

Guysā¦PW is a good character. How? Iām not talking about turnabout turnabout mode. I think when it was told you had to get three pieces of good evidence. Every PW thought that was the way to play him. Itās notā¦I been playing PW as a a character. And with these buffs, I have even less of a reason to go into turnabout mode now. Iāll still gather evidence to build a good keepaway game. PW ISNāT ass. Itās just that pw players and the people that think heās bad have been approaching him the wrong way. And yes thatās goes for Ultradavid as well. Now if I were to make a tier list. I would say PW is mid tier at best.

On a completely unrelated note, I wish bridge to the turnabout had a different input than Hold it. Hate trying to use my stun poke and getting Objection when I donāt want it instead. =/

Well, UMVC3ās players overall are braindead losers that donāt want to think. I mean if one of Morriganās best moves was a boob glomp super that drains all of your meterā¦ Everyone would think that is her best move.

I tell people Heās a better Wesker, and watch the sodium levels rise when they realize that it was in fact Wesker who actually committed the crime.
Honestly, the best way to respond to this is prove them wrong. As much as I hate to admit it, PW by himself is far from perfect. He does have awesome combo capabilities that people havenāt realized because theyāre so fixed on reaching turnabout.Try out some combos with him in training mode [while in trail mode, WITHOUT three good pieces of evidence] and you might see what Iām talking about. Iām preparing for a thread that i want to start and have it as the basis for PW players, both advanced and those who have interest in picking him up or want to improve. The plan is the put up his frame date (someone already has,iāll ask them for permission to borrow the info), his hitboxes, (Feenie is the only one Iāve seen who has this info as far as I know, and with his permission Iād like to put that up) his strategy/battle plan as suggested by the official strategy guide, maxās tutorial video, move specifications (such as Illuminating Point being jump cancelable) and my own strategy for playing PW along with some combos. If anyone reading this would like to help put this thread together with me, feel free to contact me. Otherwise it might take about a month but it will definitely be worth it. My hopes are that people will actually fight with PW, outside of Turnabout, making that mode all the much better once you do reach it. My logic is, if you can kick ass in trail mode, you will be a god in turnabout mode =]. Some quick advice though, if you want to be effective, you will have to build a team around PW. Without doing this, it will be nearly impossible to play him effectively. Although he has basic combos that can lead to at least 600,000-700,000 with 1 meter, the problem is connecting that first hit with his poor reach.

Wow, I wish I would of seen Neorusselās video before I got overly excited about my idea. He has a lot of the combos down that I had in mind and seems to know which moves are cancelable. Iāll have to see if I still do the forum, if anything itāll just be a compilation of the useful info thatās scattered throughout the interweb.

Personally, he actually fits my fighting style pretty darn well.
I donāt know about you guys, but Iām not on a grand quest to prove that my character is good. Iām happy to just acknowledge that heās bad and play him anyway.
