How do u keep from raging?

well how am i supposed to have fun if i cant even play and when i do he cheats?

If you can’t even play then you have bigger problems than what your opponent is doing. If your problem is cheating there are several solutions.

How is he “cheating”? Like with a lag switch or a hacked game? If that is the case then just stop playing against him and you will have more fun. Maybe you can report him to XBL or PSN.

If he is “cheating” by employing “cheap” tactics then the solution is to just play against casual players and avoid serious, hardcore ones. Also avoid ranked.

lol i was sure you were going to say UMVC3. A game that even mature, ordinarily composed fighting game vets, find difficult not to rage at.

Can’t comment on SFxT as i don’t own it.

A good part of any fighting game is psychological. How i keep from raging in UMVC3(note-not literally raging. On the outside i seem perfectly fine, but on the inside i can be frustrated & demoralized), is by telling myself it does not matter if i win or lose. I’m just playing and trying to get in more experience.

Limiting the duration of my gameplay sessions too. Lately when i jump online i make it a point to quit after two victories. Because its likely that afterward i’ll start to get complacent, and then when i run into somebody who is on their A-game, i’ll feel bad after they utterly destroy me. So after i get my 2-wins i stop and come back a few hours later.

Also learning to just push away from the damn game and do something else once you’ve gotten pissed. Sometimes its good to rage at a game, but in others, one really must know when its time to give it a rest and come back to it later on.

i play UMVC3 too but it doesnt get me mad haha

You can’t help getting salty
Saltiness is just a natural reaction that comes because you honestly put in an effort to win the fight.
The trick is that you shouldn’t let that saltiness stay all day everyday.
You should let it go after the match is done, and remember that it takes time to learn.

maybe you didnt read my ohter reply but when i switched in sagat he used the Kazuya infinite on me and yeah game over
but like i said im probably gonna give up on fighting games

well i get you play alot of games offline and im kinda good in my friends group, but when it comes to online and lag and input delay it sucks its out of control but either way ill try to stick it out but if i cant bare it then its back to call of duty

no actually i have but i have alot of respect for then know they would have kicked my butt if i tried my all i have played against Dios X,Viscant,and Maximilian on there like really random i always manage to kill one of their characters though

You wanna know rage inducing? getting into a match, having someone jump back roundhouse the whole time, then use a lag switch when you get the life lead. That and the fact that he had it set to 60 seconds 1 round made it even worse. The match was perfectly synced right up until I started my fei long corner shenanigans then I lose =/
