I can’t even get the 3 light kicks to come out consistently, neither can I combo together the ex banish flat and 1 light kick… i’m a noob help?

It’s 1 frame link. So to be able to use this in match play you are going to need to learn the timing.

That being said, this is a trial so you have a couple of exploits you can use.

  1. Turbo button. Obv solution here, But I have been told that sometimes this doesn’t work on the MCZ TE stick.

  2. For the EX GH, run your stick along the bottom during the lks and then immediately press 2 PP on the last lk.

  3. Mash it out. Hit or miss as always.

In the future post questions like these in the ask a question thread. Good Luck getting those icons and titles for Zangief’s trials.

You can plink it.

True, Forgot to list this one. You can plink it with lp, but it’s a little awkward in my opinion on stick.

Whats plinking? I know its about hitting the button you want the next weaker button, but how does that help?

Look up a tutorial. Plinking involves using move priority to widen the window you have to link one move to the next. Lk can be plinked with lp, making the normally 1 frame link a two frame link. To plink you must press the lower priority move slightly before the move you intend to link from the last move in the combo.

For trial 24 plinking will help greatly.

For trial 18 (s.LK, s.LK, s.LK xx EXGH) it won’t help. Plinking LK~LP while standing will net you a throw (though according to that article you can actually plink with ‘back’ on 360 and ‘select’ on PS3… who knew?!). These are 2-frame links and is more about touchy spacing and repitition. Get the dummy in the corner and make sure your first s.LK is as close to them as possible without being a cl.LK. I don’t think there’s anything more to it than that.

Hold forward LK, LK, LK, D~DF PP

EDIT: But maybe a little more. I generally do my special cancels as fast as I can manage (I’m slow to react and carppy at hit confirming). My rythm is along the lines of Tap, Tap, Ta-Tap! After you hit the two punches for the EXGH lift you’re fingers off the buttons quickly. This will give you a second chance at the cancel from the negative edge input.
