How Bad Are You?

lol I block full screen fireballs all day.

I normally do, yah (block+more normals). I was very tired yesterday cuz I tried to wait out PSN updating with 3SO so I got like two hours of sleep. Then I had to go to work where I just got more tense waiting and watching, then I got home and sucked worse than normal. I figured uploading a replay of me getting creamed by SRKs would be kinda funny when I saw this thread, tho. Not that I’m trying to pretend like I’m actually much better when I’m not exhausted, hahahaha. My execution is genuinely terrible in all scenarios. I’m like one of the gimmickiest people on the planet. So good, haha.

Actually, I normally play even more unsafely aggressive once I get near someone, but for some reason I kept jumping away this time. I don’t know what I was thinking. I like to just sit people in a corner and keep going for f.mk, UOH, cr.mk, cr.lk, cr.mp, s.mk, f.hk, cr.hk and throw mixup pressure with a lot of cancels into hien/tsumuji when possible. It works out surprisingly well on people, I think. I also normally make an attempt at footsies more often, much to my dismay vs Chun, but for some reason I was just doing random stuff this time. Random for me, I mean. Haha. Like right when I could have just pressured Dudley in the corner when he had no life left in round two I just jumped away or when I UOH’d his whiffed SRK. It wasn’t an accidental UOH either. I geniunely wanted to UOH at that time for some really bizarre reason I can’t recall now. All around silly play, werd.

Also, I tried to do a close s.rh like 3x that match on wakeup instead of blocking because I wanted to see Dudley bouncing around in the air as punishment for knocking me down. I totes got blown up for it, hahahahaha. UPPERCUT! UPPERCUT!

At least I got video proof now of black men beating up on small japanese women.

PS: You people should totally beat me up some time, btw. The number of times I’ve just stared in horrendous fear at the when Opeo or E. Chronda would challenge me on GGPO requires some redemption. Getting blown up is the best way to go about it. Maybe I’ll hit up PervyJin and see how handles JP girls, too. loooooool

=3

Dude, I used to parry fireballs with my eyes closed. Now I can’t even block Uriens slow ass shit online. But offline playing with friends I can do it.

ahahahaahahahahahahahhhahahahhaha being scared of opeo; ahahahahaahahahaahahahahahahaahahahahahaahahahaha.

good luck to everyone btw. remember to have fun and don’t get bent out of shape by random jerk offs using gill.

I haven’t played 3rd Strike regularly since my High School days. All things considered I think I’m doing ok. After a couple of hours of playing I’m getting back into the 3S groove. I’ve only done player matches so far it’s been hit or miss for me as far as victory is concerned.

Didn’t you know? Gill is fighting games first Phoenix.

I am getting crushed online :frowning: something like 5 wins and 20 win losses spread out over xbla and psn

Dude i do the same thing, its really killing me.

The annoying thing is, I know I shouldn’t be doing this, but a month of tournament practice for AE has totally gotten me into some bad habits.

The bad SJC thing though usually happens when I end up jamming my wrist in a bad position in such a way that it’s hard to hit up+forward.

I have a bad habit of trying to shortcut input the Z motion. In AE, 2 down forwards = Z Motion. In 3S it doesn’t work. it makes me mad when I play as Ken or Yun >_<

lol . . . shortcuts.

Pressure and throws are a little lost to me.
And for some reason jump in combos seem so fucking hard. WHY IS J FIERCE TO CR FWD SO HARD
I also have hard time finding matches…
Im like 3w-6l right now

Isn’t the online really bad though? Idk just judging from all the comments…Ive just been playing the demo lol.

Btw, what is the skill-level online? Are only Veterans playing or are there some newbies too? Im guessing there is a ranked system as well preventing you from fighting the top.

Nothing a little training mode can’t help fix. The timing is simply different. You can’t “dial-up” the follow up hit. With some characters, you actually have to PAUSE after the jump in connects before you press your follow up.

Damn you AE for making everything easier.

Lots of newbies. Don’t be a chicken. Getting your salad tossed isn’t gonna hurt.

Wow, this just reminds me how scrubtacular that SF4 was and why I didn’t play it.

Just got done with a 20 match winning streak as Gill, I am now OFFICIALLY a scrub8-)

Now to get back to playing SSFIV as Rose and getting my ass handed to me…

Lol im not afraid, was just wondering. & Im still doubting since I heard some negative stuff about the online + offline. Altho this looks like the perfect fighter + more fun stuff/crazy features so Im pretty sure im gonna get it if not just to support them. But thats good though, don’t wanna get blown up by the parry gods

Liked for calling me a wuss

Welp, I dropped out of Ranked with a final score of 6-40. I lost to so much bad shit and the worst part is it’s due to two things: my own fuckups and my character choices.

Here I am online trying to do C&DB without conditioning, Twelve’s Airdash without conditioning, random Leg Grabs with Alex, etc.

*Edit: I did beat a Chun with Twelve, though!
