Probably the best season finale of the entire show!
But after this season with his new staff, I’ve got to say that Kutner is a beast of a doctor. In the entire time that House had Cameron, Foreman, and Chase I don’t remember one time at all where any of them actually solved a case. Now look at Kutner who’s been in just one season and has solved 2 cases if I remember correctly (1. the guy who loved everything; 2. the woman with the broken toe at the south pole). I guess House must’ve anticipated this and balanced the team by adding 13’s terrible suckage. At first I thought that she was just going to be the new Cameron but she’s actually much worse. She’s contributed absolutely nothing since she’s been on the team. Hell, Amber would’ve made a much better doctor but now she’s gone.
Iunno, judging by this show’s utter reluctance to let a character go (see: Cameron, Chase) I fully expect to see Amber next season in the form of flashbacks/hallucinations/ghost.
…seriously.

Actually, Chase solved two cases if I remember correctly… one was in that episode where the patient ended being sensitive to light and the other one I don’t remember.
Their job isn’t to solve cases, its to provide enough wrong answers that house can narrow it down.

I wonder how they’re going to package this season as a DVD…do you think they’ll just make a box set of S4 and S5 together? How many episodes were their altogether this year? I’m guessing they might be enough for a single boxset.
There were only 16 episodes this year.
In the episode where the patient is allergic to light, I think it’s called “Finding Judas”, Chase in the end came up with the right diagnosis. I think it was the first time in that show where one of the team, other than House, had the final epiphany about the real problem of the patient. You’re right though, it’s usually up to House to find the underlying cause of the problem since he’s the Sherlock Homes of the series.
Smash community (outside of SRK) doesn’t deserve the honor of having their game represented.
As far as solving the case, there may be rare circumstances where they might do it, but its not usually the goal. House himself said (when he was hiring the new staff) that he needed all 4 of them to help him get to the right answer. He pretty much said it himself that he doesn’t rely on them to solve the cases, only to help him rule out other shit. It’s almost like he can’t solve a case unless he has somebody else to shit on the entire time, because he needs to verbally rule out everything until shit just makes sense to him.

Yep chase got KTFO, You could argue that chase got that case right because hes worked with house the longest out of the 3. Sadly, ive never even remotely seen Wilson save anyone asside from MAYBE the one old lady who had that fine ass black girl come to her house. But even then Chase figured that one out too
